ECM Help!!!!?

Hello I have a 1987 Buick Century.....I am trying 2 read the ECm-onboard computer and I shorted circuits A & B and it reads only Code 12(Diagnostic Mode) for the duration....whats the problem...I learned that its Suppose 2 read Code 12 Three Times..Then Display Other Codes....When it is Finished it would Read code 12 to Tell me its Done....2.8 Multiport Fuel Injected...1987 Buick Century...

I Have a New Alternator, Spark plugs and wires, fuel filter and fuel pump....it will start up but it wont stay running what could be the possible problems....i'm ready 2 get rid of it...also b4 it started 2 mess up i would have 2 floor the gas and it will start to move slowly...then when i got 2 like 50mph it will kinda rumble....Whats the Problem..some 1 please help....if u need more info tell me

check 4 vuccum leaks and your EGR that makes the car stall hope this helps u
