that Adam & Eve weren't suppose to eat of?

Since it seems to be the firstfruits (10th) of the Garden of Eden?

Pastor preached this today.

Faith. God had commanded Adam to take care of the garden also. Also to take care of creation. So? Adam did something & the trees bared fruit. What the Pastor was getting to was this one tree of all the others was off limits. So also our tithe belong to Gods & all we have are Gods. But God tells us that our 10% of increase is off limits also. It is Holy unto God.

The tithe is 10% of the first fruits of mankind's labor. If your paycheck is $1000.00 each week, then you should FIRST give God $100.00, then pay yourself and then pay your weekly bills. THAT is what first fruits are. Money and/or produce earned from the sweat of mankind's brow.

The Garden of Eden was God's. The "first fruits" of the Garden of Eden were created by and labored over by God, not Adam, so they can not be the first fruits of Adam.

The Tree of Knowledge was forbidden to Adam and Eve because Almighty God wished them to remain pure & innocent & fruitful without struggle or strife & without facing the inherent consequences of sin and evil throughtout their lives in The Garden Of Eden.

Well it's a good thing they did disobey and eat of that tree!,because God already planned for a Savior, before the foundation of the world ! In case no one understands this, it means before the creation of the world, and before time began. So,....They disobeyed and ate of that tree, but can anyone see besides me, that even their disobedience was a part of God's plan? As far as it being a tithe, the Leviticus laws had not been imposed on God's people, as yet. There was knowledge in that tree. Of both good and evil. Would there be any Christians today if there were no knowledge of good? Probably not. To have the knowledge of good it was necessary to have the knowledge of evil as well. Otherwise good would have nothing to compare it to. And not only must we have the knowledge of both, but in this lifetime the experience of both as well. It is the experience that gives us knowledge. Firstfruits (10th) of the Garden of Eden????????

Of all the trees in the Garden of Eden there were 2 that were set aside by Jehovah which is known to us as the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad and the Tree of Life.
Genesis 2:9; 3:1-4
Eve and Adam ate from the Tree of Knowledge.
This tree symbolized a test of loyalty and reconnection.
Would this newest creation of Jehovah recognize His Authority and their life depended on continually taking in knowledge of Him?
If they would have past that test and not have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge, they would have been granted permision to eat from the Tree of Life.
Genesis 3:11; 17; 21-24

It seems your pastor has found an interesting way to talk about tithing. :-) Frankly, I have never heard anyone refer to tithing in the context of Eden.

The tree is the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil. The reason they were not to eat it has to do with man's inability to understand good and evil. So if they ate the fruit from that tree they could only gain perverted knowledge.

That is why they suddenly became aware of their nudity. They had always been nude, but had an innocence about it. Now an understanding of sexualness had been gained. But instead of appreciating their God given beauty they gained only shame. This is the corruption of their minds that God wanted them to avoid.

yes the tree of knowledge of good and evil was the only tree adam & eve could not eat from. They were never told to not eat from the tree of life. I've never heard of it referred to as a tithe before, but more of a test.

The fruit of the tree of the knowlegdge of good and evil of stuff or whatever was off limits.

It was the fault of their talking snake that they ate it.

God didn't want them to, cause he wanted them to remain innocent and populate the earth with a race of innocent people, which would have made god's job a lot easier.

It has nothing to do with tithing.

only one tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
I don't understand the pastor's teaching on tithe.
all other fruit trees could be eaten from.

Yes, they could eat of any tree but that one. I dont understand the second part of your question, sorry. I believe the tree to be a test for them, one they failed.
