My friend is trying to bail his friend out of jail. She is in a pinellas country jail here in florida. We need to know if there is a time limit to when he can turn in the money, befor she has to spend the night there. It's 9pm now. Is there a time where a bail cannot be turned in, is she stuck there for the night. Or can he get her out whenever.

it depends. if he has already seen the judge, then anytime the jail bonds and fine office is open will do. expect, depending on staffing and/or how many people are being released, for the process to take up to 24 hours. our local jail usually releases on 3d shift because there is no chow or visitation to deal with. now, if this person has not seen the judge yet, ant its within 3 hours of his initial appearance, you might just want to wait, because he will probable end up seeing the judge anyways and the judge can raise, lower, or just about do anything he wants with it.

As far as I know, there is someone there for bail 24 hours a day at any county facility...
Bail bonds is the same... as soon as bail is posted they will wake him/her if they are sleeping and they are free until their court date which they do NOT want to miss

IN some places, the magistrate closes at night and then you wouldn't be able to bond her out until morning. Get a bondsman to handle it for you and then you have a better chance of her not spending the night there.

Is this it? "A good friend will come bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying...'Damn, that was fun!'"

Do it before the weekend.
Sundays take forever, maybe all night.
Usually a minimum 4-6 hour wait Mon-Fri.
