Hello:

I have always loved cooking with onions because they are so versatile and you can cook them in so many dishes such as:

Roasts

Soups

Chicken or Beef pot pies

Onions are good to add to your stuffing or,"dressing,"that you make for the holidays,yummy.

To put on top of Hot Dogs

To put on top of Hamburgers or Cheeseburgers

To put in with homemade fried potatoes

Stews

Pork Chops

Steaks caramelized onions are really good on a steak

Onion Rings of course,lol.

The list goes on and on.

probably onions because they form a backbone to so many dishes whether they are cooked, roasted, raw or grilled. Sometimes, when I can't think of what to cook, I'll just chop an onion and sautee it in olive oil to let the smell inspire me and then I rummage around and find things to add and soon, I have a meal!!
My second favorite is mushrooms because they are so meaty.
Then there's cilantro....Ok I need to stop...

It must be garlic and onions. once you saute' onions in olive oil and then some garlic with it..oh what an aroma. I rather have candy italian sausage cooking now and it rather is loaded with garlic, peppers and onions. next is garlic bread. Dinner at 7pm :)

I cant cook without onions!! I also use a lot of garlic and mushrooms, but if I had to pick one, it would have to be onions too!!

Chicken....cause you can do so much with it. You can make it for dinner 7 nites in a row and it could always be different.
Italian, chinese, polish etc etc etc...always a different taste with the same meat.

Garlic for me. Garlic goes in almost everything! It's good for you and flavorful. Bonus!
