So....was this teacher the same gender as you? Were you a very good student? If a teacher were to wink at me, I'd be out of that classroom so fast, before he/she could wink at me again. Or perhaps....you guys shared some private secret that noone else knew?

She must have liked you and this was just a way to let you know. Also, it is just a way to show approval or that someone has just said or done something that is not exactly true or correct. Also, "We're in a group here, but I'm taking special note of you"

"Winking" means closing one eye for a second, and the meaning is "the winker" suggesting that the "winked at" person share the special secret information, no one else has access to.

I had the same problem with my 12th grade English teacher. She kept finding any excuse to feel my bicepts.
