Not at all. It's a silly notion. There have been a few "mass kill" events already on earth...usually brought on by comet or meteor strikes.
Armageddon is something that has been predicted for thousands of years, and almost never has the prediciton been more than 100 years from the day the prediction was made...and obviously, none have been true.
Heck, if you carefully read the book of revelation usually included in the bible, it was all about bringing rome down. (seven horns=seven hills of rome, 666 and 616 are renderings of Nero, emperor of rome. Et-cetera)
Rome still stands, and italy came out of it.
World won't even end if we get slammed by another meteor. Bacteria will survive to give life on earth another chance.
It has happened before. It can happen again.

Before the end of the world, there will be a second-coming of Christ (not God). At that time Christ will reign on earth, and satan will be cast into a bottomless pit. After the reign of Christ is over, satan will be released, and go out to deceive the nations. Then there will be the war between satan and Jesus and his angels. Satan will lose and be cast into a lake of fire. Death and hell will also be cast into the lake, that means all those in hell will go into the lake, and death, meaning there will be no more death for the believer. Believers will then dwell on earth with God, as we were intended to from the beginning. And no I am not afraid, I am on the winning side.

It does say in the bible to not fear the end times or shall I say the last days. God said that the world will end. That is why we must prepare because no one knows not even the angels in heaven knows when God returns to get his people. Media puts fear in people when talking about wars and other wicked things. Notice how the news talks about depressing things and how people are doing evil things such as killing their own kids. The government is passing laws under our noses without us knowning. The thing everyone should be aware of is the New World Order which will be in position very soon. The government will soon want everyone to be chipped or have the RFID tags. No one will be able to buy or sell unless they have this chip. I do think that time is speeding up towards this.

No, actually I'm rather looking forward to the look on people's faces.
By the way - "apocalypse" does not mean the end of the world. It just means "great change". So it's be life, Jim, but not as we know it.

Well, I'm equally afraid of the apocalypse as I am of a zombie attack a la Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video.

I am not. I wish God will come for his people already. I respect all answers here, but I beleive this world is coming to an end. It is all prophecy, everything is happening as it was stated in the bible, earthquakes, wars, diseeses you name it.
hope you can read more and find out more about the end. Don't take me wrong it is a scary subject I have had nightmares myself but I have a better understanding of his prophecy already.
take care

yes,i am.terribly afraid.
this world has never been safe for me to live in.but it's the world i've always known.and what really saddens me,is how people on here are actually mocking the Lord and denying His coming.
i try to keep them in mind,as people who need a lot of prayer and a lot of patience and a lot of understanding.but their cruel, nasty, and cold-hearted attitudes just really get to me sometimes.
people will choose what they want to believe.i feel sad for those, who honestly believe that none of this stuff is true.
The Rapture is a real thing. The 7 year tribulation is real. The mark of the beast is real. The moral breakdown of our society is real. The deterioration of our children's sense of right and wrong is painfully real.i have young teenage nieces who are into such horrible stuff that they literally scare me.i have reason to believe that my 18 year-old niece is trying to sell herself as an online porn queen.there's all these different sites on my space, featuring a girl who looks very much like her,she has her first name, and the pictures she's posing in,i can see in the background that her house looks like my stepsister's house.i fear for what my niece is doing, and how she chooses to live her life.
and what about all the drugs people are taking?and the drinking is just out of control anymore?i can't understand how ANYONE,could possibly keep doing these things, and not fear the Lord's judgment.
I worry that people are just slipping away, out of the Lord's mercy.Jesus has put up with mankind's sin,and evil, and despicable behavior, ever since sin first came into this world.
and so many of us,we take that mercy for granted.we think we can do whatever, and not worry about the consequences, because God is loving and merciful and nothing will stop Him from loving us.
This is the Age of Grace.Jesus is being merciful and patient towards the human race. But someday, that time will be over.Judgment Day will come. And let's hope and pray, that people will take His message seriously. We desperately need a serous restoration of our Christian principles in this country, because if we don't,i'm afraid that His mercy will be very short-lived.
Yes,i am terrified of the Apocalypse. But I am also sad and grieved for everything Jesus has had to put up with.
His people, the people He created, have acted like they never knew Him.And what hurts even more,is the fact that He died for these people. He went through more pain, and more injustice, and more hell, than anybody could ever imagine. And He did it for them.Because He wanted His children back, and He wanted to provide a home in Heaven for them someday.
But because people are so stubborn, and they enjoy their sinful lifestyles too much, for whatever reason I cannot fathom, they just choose to ignore His message and do whatever they want.
I hope anybody who reads this, will not think that i'm condemning them in any way.I want people to find Jesus and to go to Heaven.I also know, though, that it's up to them to choose Jesus.Nobody can make that choice for them.Only they can.

No. I don't believe in any religious teachings about the end of the world. However, I'm not afraid about either dying or the world ceasing. I have much important things to worry about, i.e. enjoy this one life I have.
