If you truly don't want to read or hear about what Christians think, then choose another category on YA! No one is forcing their views on you at all.
I find it interesting that you single out Christians and their views when there are many faiths and beliefs represented here.
Much of society embraces tolerance of the views and beliefs of others, so long as they are not Christian views and beliefs.
Sorry that we make you so uncomfortable, my friend.
May God richly bless you as you search for truth.

Those of us who are truly Christians don't just hear the word and read the word. We are trying to live the Word. It consumes every decision and thought that we have. The Word is the truth and it does not teach us to be bad people. I have lived on the other side without God in my life and I was one of the most miserable people. My thinking is that if I could spare just 1 person a portion of what I had to go through it would be worth all the persecution the atheists give me. I have a peace within me that was not there before. I would like to invite you to this new life that I would not trade for anything in the world.

Well, it is called Religion and Spirituality. Anyone of any religion or belief system is welcome, right? Among the lot is going to be Christians - the lot being JW's, Mormons, B'hai, Tauists, Muslims, Buddhists and also Atheists, just to name a few. So, you decide to single out Christians as to what they think. Why should you care what all the others think, as well?
As it is, do you not think there is anyone who could care less what you think/believe/don't believe? In all fairness, ask yourself this question.
You are offended by Christians. You are particularly offended because we preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You know we stand firm on the fact that God is real, He sent His Son Jesus to earth for all mankind and that He desires that all of us would live for and with Him.
I would guess that you just see Christians as a bunch of hypocritical rule keepers who have nothing to offer you. Well, you may be right - at least partly. Some Christians are or at least appear to be hypocritical. Also, even though we preach the Gospel and stand on the truth of scripture, we have nothing to offer you. Jesus, however, does offer eternal life.
In any case, it is interesting you single out Christians. There are many other religions represented on this site. Yet, you act as if it is only Christians who have anything to say. Well, the way I figure it, if it is that offensive, the truth of the Bible must be something you struggle with - in the sense that you may be thinking in your heart of hearts, "Hey, there may be something to this."

No, I don't take it as a site to start "preaching" at other Yahoo'ers, rather a friendly site to share experiences. I believe in Christianity and enjoy sharing experiences with others, but there is no compulsion for anyone to use this segment of Answers if they are not interested in it. There are plenty of other areas to visit, and I do just that at times. "Bible Bashing" is not my scene - but sharing my interest in Christ or Christian things is.

Whats with all the bashing? Everyone has their views and beliefs about things. I thought this is about answering questions not choosing sides. I don't agree with every ones life views but who am I to judge. I think you're to busy judging to be open and to try understand every ones views. You have the right to pick and choose which questions you want to respond to. If your that narrow minded about things then maybe you shouldn't be in these types of forums.

If you're going against the wind and tide then you know what it's like to speak of One whose Name is cursed by those who hate Him.
I hope you keep coming back, maybe you'll find what you're looking for and the answer to your question.
Edit: I noticed you were back with another question today....

You're right, it really doesn't matter what we Christians think, believe or preach.
The only thing that matters is the truth, and how you respond to it.
May God bless and guide you in this, the most important decision of your life.

it matters because they live on this earth and we have to live with them.
If you want people to respect your beliefs then you have to respect theirs.
I'm not christian myself by the way.
