Why do Muslims charge Interest on mortgages when theyre not supposed to?

There are a lot of muslim indians that are brokers, real estate muslim brokers, and they all charge interest to their clients....BIG time interests on the loans! What is the punishment for doing something like this as we know that there are many money hungry muslims out there in the brokerage real estate market nowadays.

Ha ha, just like Jews and Christians weren't supposed to charge interest? But found convenient ways to explain away that little bit of their moral code?

Funny thing is that it was precisely the promise of not having to pay interest that helped generate popular support among the peasantry of the Mediterranean for Islam hundreds of years ago and made it such a huge force to be reckoned with. (At least that's the single biggest economic factor behind it's rapid spread.)

Most people just ignore what their religion says most of the time because that is what is required to actually get things done in the real world.

Not to mention half (greater than probably) the stuff in the major religions is immoral.

It could be, but you would have to check for sure, that the law to not charge intrest is only amongst faithful muslims, not that they shouldn't charge intrest to other people.

Hi! Are they in the U.S.? Moslem individuals are just like any business person in the U.S.; they charge interest. Moslem individuals also earn interest on interest-bearing savings and checking accounts in the U.S. Hope this helped!

there is different between Islam and Muslim
In Islam Interest is forbidden but may some black sheep do it like in any other religion
for example fornication is forbidden in Christianity but over 95% in USA do it ?! what that means !? it mean nothing
it means there is no conncetion between religion and people who follow that religion and we can`t critisize religion CZ of it`s followers
