The purpose of some religions is to create obedient followers. They use the term Flock, and lamb to describe themselves. They wish to be led. You can't blame religious leaders for taking advantage of a behavor exhibited by many.

Our Father IS superior...He created us...We are His for the making and for the taking...He gave His only begotten Son, so that we could be forgiven, for our sins on this earth..It is really very simple,...when we were born, we all have God, and Satan in us...it is up to us, to prove that we deserve eternal life..we can read the Bible, and beileve it, on our love and faith, or we can reject it. I love My Father,...no one made me, no one forced me to. I Love Jesus Christ..I try to obey Them the best I can..They tell me to love my enemies, to do good to those that spitefully hurt and use me, and lie on me, They tell me to be good and loving to everyone, and to be generous...Jesus said, that you could blasphemy Him, but the unforgiveable sin, is to lambast and curse the Holy Spirit...We are truly living in the last days now...so chose your sides wisely...if you don't believe, and choose not to believe, the choice is your. If you don't believe, then you have nothing to fear...I love My Father, and Fear His mighty concequences for His daughter disobeying...I LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM>.and I LOVE JESUS with all my heart..I am not a mindless robot, just the opposite, a very brilliant person...who have cast their vote, for God...We are all free agents..the choice is yours.

He is technically the only one qualified. Humans are not omniscient, therefore we tend to be impulsive, inaccurate, uncooperative, unsympathetic, stubborn and simply prone to error. Logically, the one who knows all the facts, motives and goings on is fit to judge.
it's a judge's job to see that people are punished. if they deserve death, so be it. if they deserve hell, so be it.
