Of course it goes against free will. Did I ever say my life long dream was to participate in a blood-thirsty death cult? No, I didn't.

Since a perfect human life was lost (by Eve being deceived by Satan and exercising her free will to make a wrong decision) no imperfect human life could ever buy it back. (Psalm 49:7, 8) What was needed was a ransom equal in value to what was lost. This is in harmony with the principle of perfect justice found in God’s Word, which says: “Soul will be for soul.” (Deuteronomy 19:21) So, what would cover the value of the perfect human soul, or life, that Adam lost? Another perfect human life was the “corresponding ransom” that was required.—1 Timothy 2:6.
We are still able to exercise free will - those who want to exercise faith in that sacrifice and it's blessings are free to do so, others make their choice not to.

Jesus died for the sins of believers, His people, His sheep.
Mat 1:21 And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
Luk 1:68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He visited and worked redemption for His people.
Heb 2:17 For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people.
Joh 10:15 Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
Not everyone is considered "His" sheep or people.
Joh 10:26 But you do not believe for you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.
Joh 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
You have limited free will. God has complete free will. If your free will goes against God's free will, guess who wins?

Sin seperates us from God, right?
God wants us to want Him in our lives Therefore He gave us a way out instead of sacrificing animals for our sins He sent His only Son to the Cross to be a sacrifice for those sins.
God walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden.

Everyone sins. Everyone makes the wrong free-will choice. So God gives us the opportunity to use our free will to choose to believe that what Jesus did applies to us.
So there's no contradiction, in fact it shows God's grace and mercy. Faced with a world full of failed free agents, God provides another way to succeed.

What your questions really gets at is, "What is the purpose of life?". If you believe the purpose of life is to have free will then, yes it is contradicting. On the other hand if you believe the purpose of life is to return to live with God again (as I do) then it is not contradicting. God puts us here on this earth and says I am perfect and you need to be perfect to live with me, I have given you free will so you must choose to follow my commandments. If you choose to follow me and my son by keeping my commandments then you may live with me forever. He knows that even those who want to follow him will make mistakes and so he sent his son Jesus to pay for those sins and through Jesus' sacrifice we can become clean and live with God again.

No it doesn't go against the free will thing. God gave us free will to make our own choices and to live by the Ten commandments if we chose to But he also send his son to die for our sins to make sure we are forgiven for the sins we do make by useing our free will. It was kind of like Gods secerity blaket, I give you free will to do as you chose than i send my son to die for the sins that you do do so you all don't burn in hell type of a thing.

We do have free-will. We have the free-will to choose between god's will and our will. However, most people discover that our free-will will lead us into wrong decisions. Its part of life. for every cause an effect, for every act a consequence, what goes up must come down and what goes around comes around!

We don't have free will. We do, but the thing is he expects us to make smart decisions with the free will. He saved us by putting his son up on the cross to take our sins away so we could be free!!

You're confused.
God is saying, if you want to keep on living...you need to make a choice.
If you choose your own road, you will not keep on living.
There's your choice. If you choose to step in front of a car, you made a choice, If you choose not to, you made a choice. God is saying, if you refuse His Way, that Cross, you will burn for it. And, He is saying that to all of mankind, though mankind has stepped on this message. Man's unbelief doesn't change the fact that God is doing it right now... each person that goes through, most...go to hell.
Make your choice.
