If one of my child got his permit, do i add him in my insurance coverage, or not?

With a learner's permit, you do not need to add the child. As soon as they get a license, you will either have to add or exclude them from your policy, as you would any licensed driver living in your household!

Check with your insurance agent or company for more details!

It depends on the company you use. I worked for one of the top three in the country and we use to require that they be added. However, they changed the guidelines. Now they can add them as a non driver as non-licensed(permitted only) and so you are not charged the higher rate until he gets his license. It also depends on the state you live in. Each state has it's own laws in regards to insurance. Texas does not require it as long as the veh is insured.
