He should be okay, but I'd keep an eye on him.
It also depends on the cat probably. If he eats people food from time to time, his digestive system is probably pretty adapted to it. I have one cat who was an orphan and ate dumpster food before we took her in. Now she eats pretty much any people food (although we try not to let her often) and is fine. The other one won't touch human food. I suspect if they can't handle it, they won't eat it.
I'd say just keep an eye on him. Or call your vet if you're worried and ask their advice.

An entire bagel half is a LOT of food for one cat to eat, and if it wasn't cut up into bite-sized pieces he'd have a really hard time getting all the way through it. I think you should work on finding the spot where he hid what was left of the bagel after he was done playing with it. It's going to start to smell pretty soon.
If he did eat some, he'll probably be okay, but don't be afraid to call the vet for advice if you see changes in his behavior.

I don't think so, but it's probably not the greatest thing for them to get into the habit of doing, lol. My cats have been known to eat cheesecake, waffles, biscuits, chips, and all manner of people food in very small amounts. Keep an eye on him and see if he acts any different over the next 24 hours. he might hack it up, or spend a lot of time in the litterbox, but chances are that other than a little tummy ache, he'll be okay :)
Just keep a closer eye on your bagels next time, lol.

well its not good for him but he probably won't get sick from it. All you gotta do is call the vet and tell them what happend and they'll probably tell you signs you gotta watch out for.
btw u sure he didn't just bite and drag it off somewhere u can't see? bagel and cream cheese doesn't sound like something a cat would eat lol

Well, it depends on how well his stomach can take dairy products. I don't think he will be hurt much by it, maybe just have a stomach ache for a few days.
(And I liked how you worded it "greedy little bugger". Kewl!)

It shouldn't be a problem. My cat likes to eat enchiladas, and is alive and well. And, no, I don't encourage this on a regular basis.
