I know i'll get replies off people saying that it's a piece of piss, and to be honest it did used to be for me, but since giving up drinking 18 months ago, I dont go to pubs/clubs etc and there just doesn't seem to be many single women around my way!

What kind of women do you want to meet? Athletic? then hang out at a workout club or tennis courts, join a mixed volleyball or softball league, etc. Bookish? then the library. You get the idea. Take a class or join a club for something you are interested in. There will be others there with the same interests. Volunteer for a political campaign, youth center, senior center (not for the seniors, but for women who work there or have parents there), hospitals (patients and families of patients as well as all the people who work in a hospital. When I was a Cub Scout leader, I met a dozen single mothers. Think outside of the bars. I did all of these when I was single and they worked. Then I met my wife while standing in line at a hot dog stand.

There are Ladies everywhere! You dont just have to meet ladies in Pubs & Clubs! Personally I wouldn't want to meet my Future Boyfriend in a pub/club.
There are many options.....Internet, speed dating, friend of a friend, at work, even at the supermarket......
When the time is right you will find the lady for you, stop searching and she will appear! Get on with loads of Fun stuff for now with your pals....& she will appear when you least expect it

Find a public hobby where you can meet lots of women and just talk to them. Some are so nervous that they need YOU to make the first move!! Just make sure you're "hobby" doesn't include all women and no men, then you'll be accused of being gay.

why not look at your local college courses and go and enrol for something. Not only will you be learning something new but you might meet a lovely woman in the process! I've signed up for ceramics in september, not cos i need a woman, cos I'm going with mine but I want to learn something new. Its a good way to expand your life, with very little expenditure.

Well the internet is one good way. But of course you have to be careful with some people.
I would say to not actually go looking for someone. Kinda just let someone come to you. Whatever happens happens.

Why not take up a sport or a hobby or interest or an evening class etc? Great way to get to know someone on a friends level first. You could ask friends to set you up with anyone they know? x
