GREAT, SPECTACULAR, EXCELLENT QUESTION.

10 Mantastic points for you.

Seriously.

I have been dating and in relationships for 23 years (im 40) and I have NEVER been with a woman who can cook.

And I mean NEVER.

In fact . . . a not-too recent EX of mine actually burned TOAST. . . and thought "separate the eggs" on a recipe card, meant -->> PUSHING THEM APART ON THE COUNTER!!

LMFAO!! No I am not kidding.
(Now you know why she's an EX)

When i was about 7 or 8, my mom told me "I had better learn to clean, do laundry and cook" . . because she was sure no girl would ever be willing to wash my socks, clean up after me or care enough to make sure I ate well.

Turns out, she was absolutely right.
Women just aren't interested in that.

But they LOVE to tell men what MORE we should be doing for them . . . or what restaurants they would "rather" be taken to for dinner . . . . but the ones who get MY RESPECT are the ones who - at least - CARE ENOUGH TO LEARN how to make a plain pasta dish . . . or boil a freakin' egg.

THEY WILL SPEND 45 MINUTES STRAIGHTENING THEIR HAIR. . . . AND AN ENTIRE WEEKEND LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT JEANS AND PUSH-UP BRA. . . . BUT WON'T TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE A PROPER OMELETTE.

"Look pretty or starve . . . don't make me choose."
LOL!!!

I can cook like the wind blows.
I mean SERIOUS GOURMET sh*t.

But sometimes I am absolutely shocked and stunned
when "my woman" will come over for a meal
I went through the trouble of preparing for HER
and she will not even thank me for it.

F*cking Brutal.

But the WORST is when "SHE" will think it's her place to PUSH THE PLATE AWAY FROM HER because she "just doesn't feel like chicken today".

That's when I throw her imitation Fendi bag at her
and show her the door while thinking
"Thanks mom . . . I would be STARVING today."
LMFAO!!!!

You have my RESPECT for the effort you are making.

If a future girlfriend offered to poor a glass of milk and put and put an OREO cookie on a plate for me . . . I would probably have a heart attack and die of shock on the spot.

Now you know why I have to fake every orgasm. ;)

Cheers.

:)

I married a woman who couldn't cook. She was 24. I did all the cooking at first. She took a few basic lessons, then started cooking simple things. She had to lose her fear of cooking. Once she did that, she was on a roll. We had a "New Recipe Day" once per week when she would try something new. Not everything came out great, some recipes we kept and some we didn't. But we only threw the dinner in the garbage once. After about a year, she was a very good cook. Without getting graphic, she couldn't cook when we got married, but she could do some other things VERY well. LOL

At your age men probably aren't that interested in your cooking abilities. When I was your age they always got wowed by something easy like meatloaf and mashed potatoes, or a casserole where you just throw all the ingredients together and cook it 45 minutes to an hour. I think the only really original thing I did in my 20s was make a broccoli quiche. I did buy the pie crust, but mixing the ingredients, swiss cheese, half and half, broccoli, scallions, etc. was my own doing. Men just loved it. Anybody can cook, get a classic cookbook and follow the instructions. It's mostly common sense, with a little bit of science thrown in.

I started learning how to cook in grade school. I think it means a lot to a man if a woman knows how to cook. I also think it's great for a man to know how to cook.
Get yourself a Betty Crocker Cook Book or you can go to Massrecipes.com.
There are many things that sound hard to cook and really aren't.
You can e-mail at mcf_103@yahoo.com and I'll help you learn how to cook simple but meals a man would die for--I tease my husband all the time that the only reason he married me was that I could cook--LOL!!!!!

Guys car about your personality, your intellect, and having sex. The food always works itself out.Within about a month of practice you'll have plenty of recipes in your repertoire.I'd say 1/2 of my 20 friends can't cook so it's not like ur an anomaly or something.I've never heard of it being a deal breaker. All guys know that cooking can be a learned trait. If u want some good recipes e-mail me. they're nice and specific!!!Also I noticed Martha Stuart's recipes(although hate her personality)are very thorough and they cover all possible errors. Happy cooking.Ur just lucky 2 hav a bfriend so count ur blessings. I really want 1 right now!

explain to him the way you were brought up and that you are not good at cooking and you need his help to help you learn how to cook his best meals. He would take it a fun and men would enjoy teaching their loved ones on how to cook. Trust me, he won't feel offended because you don't know how to cook as long as he feel that you love him and you are there for him, you want things work perfectly with him, he will step up for you to. Secondly there are books out that teaches women on how to cook, crab one and practice. Am a man and i started cooking when I was in grade 3. My mum used to go across the border for business and that left me with my brother home alone. My father was working too but in a different town and used to come home thrice a month.

I can only cook a few things...my husband didn't even ask if I could cook when we moved in together....its not a very big deal....just practice and I'm sure you'll be very good at it.....the only "real meal" I can cook besides spaghetti is breaded pork chops and even they come out yucky sometimes :)

The only great meals I ever got are the ones I bought for myself while taking out a bunch of worthless women in my life. I should have just gone to a prostitute. Maybe then I would have gotton my moneys worth.
I dont know what happened in America. Its a shame. An entire country with a waste of perfectly good white girls.

Anyone can cook.. thats a cope out! Get some recipes off the net and follow the directions. You could also watch some cooking shows and get tips..im guessing its bothering you much more than its bothering him.
