It will have a big effect on us in the future. It will be like the movie "The Day After Tomorow". It will start an ice age and everyone in the north will be screwed.

its a damn lie. don't get me wrong, the globe is warming, but we didn't cause it, we can't stop it, and all we can do is accept it. The globe has been warming and cooling on and off for millions of years! we've only been able to track the tempeture of the earth as a whole for the past hundred or so years, anyways. And if the cutesy little polar bears die, its not our fault. Its called evolution, and its a part of nature. Species die ALL THE TIME and we don't care, just b/c their not cute and fluffy and really big. If some bug species dies today in the amazon, guess who cares? NO ONE.
And its only become an issue b/c if a scientist came out and said, yeah this is natural and its something that's always been going on, no one would give them a grant n money and such to research it, and pandamonium wouldn't break out about cute fuzzy animals. If we want polar bears so much, stick some in a polar bear farm and get over it.
If someone comes out and says ahhh the earth will burn alive and its all our faults BUT we can stop it, THATS when people come to the rescue. So basically, it's all a big lie.

It will cause havoc, and I think is already too late for us to prevent some species from going extinct.

In light of that who do we blame?

History will not be kind to the "scientists" that held a strong bias to ignore critical warning signs and generate claims that global warming was a just a passing trend.

Well, whether it's real or not, I think we should still do things to help the environment and not pollute it.
It bothers me when people say others are buying into the hype of global warming and are trying to do things to help, and it can't be stopped. Well so what? It's still good to help the environment. Every problem in it is our fault, so we should do something to fix things so animals don't go extinct and everything gets polluted

I have just the answer for everyone who believe in global warming. If you really think that people are the ones who are warming the earth and want to save it; this is a guarantee to solve the problem. KILL YOUR SELF! If your not here your aren't hurt the planet.

I am so tired of answering this question. This must get asked 20 times per day on this site. Do a search in Yahoo Answers, and you'll get all the opinons you want. Frankly, this isn't the best place to find scientific information on the subject.

i no that global warming is happening becuz if us. when we pollute the air it makes more carbon dioxide which is what the ozone is made of. it makes the ozone thicker which makes the earth hotter and melts the north pole. im kindof afraid because i dont want the movie the day after tomarrow to happen but i know that if it happens it wont happen when im alive. but it makes you think of what you can do to help.......

I think it is a scientific phenomenon, not a political issue and we should let the people who actually perform hands-on research debate it and leave ourselves to discuss what research is out there in an unbiased fashion.

I think that its a problem that the world together could have ended, or delayed so we could come up with solutions to stop it. It could've gotten stopped with little things done by everyone.
