For years moronic NASCAR fans have been hatiing on Jeff for careless and stupid reasons. It seems like alot of NASCAR fans are racist, they make such statements as hes a cry baby yet most of these fans are Tony Stewart fans?, they call him gay, yet hes married to a supermodel, dated playboy models, and dated actresses? he seems like the lord of the pimps, They say they don't like him because hes not from the south, Most NASCAR drivers today are from north and yet I hear no boos, In all realilty I belive the hatred towards Jeff Gordon is his early success, How can a man who puts alot of his free time helping sick kids get healthy again, Do you NASCAR fans hate kids, Jesus didn't hate kids he was once a kid so you must hate Jesus too and thats a real damn shame! what my point is and ill stop ranting is the booing, teh name calling, the rumours and the hatred is getting not only more and more annoying to Gordon fans but to real NASCAR fans aswell, Boo someone when they do something rude.

Robert G
Usually when, Johnson or Gordon wreck they don't blame it on anyone unless it is their fault.
IE: Dover 2005 Tony Stewart spins out Jeff Gordon, Gordon complains about Stewarts wreckless driving, but it is infact Stewarts fault.
IE:Jeff Gordon spins today, he didn't blame anyone but himself, or like 2 weeks ago Johnson blows a tire and hits the wall who did Jimmie Johnson blame? thats right himself, you know when Gordon complains about a driver wrecking him and driver likely did infact wreck him because its very rare when Gordon does wreck

Here we go.Another GQ fan that wants to talk racing. No I am not a Jeff Gordon fan, anymore. When he raced the BUSCH series I thought that he was the best.He piloted that #1 "BABY RUTH" ford and was a really good driver.Today he is one ont the 25 best drivers in NASCAR history. Then as for looks he is in the top 10.But his history leaves something to be. 1)Gordon had a contract with Ford to race in cup.But suddenly there was a law suit and Gordon's contract with this ford team is suddenly void. 2) With in a week Gordon is signed with Hendricks racing. 3) His rookie year was really good on the track, but personality off the track was something that needed some work. This event happened at an auto graph session that even Gordon would have approved if asked.( A man with his son ,the son looked about 5 or 6.The event sign stated the first 500 would get an autograph. When the man got there the event worker pulled a gate over seperating the man from his son. This man argued that his son was to go with him but the event worker,in a Hendricks Racing shirt, said they had a counter at the table and if more than 500 people comes thru he would lose his job.Not only this man argued but several of us argued this fact that you don't seperate a father and son.I got out of line and gave the boy my spot. I inquired about this to Hendricks and was told that when the table counter reached 500 Gordon would leave,so if the boy had got in line he would not get an autograph. This was their policy for all of their drivers. I've been to races where Rusty Wallace and Sterlin Marlin stayed at the track for over 3 hours signing wntil everyone got one.So this made me see that Gordon was not a fan person. 4)Gordon is the biggest whinner in NASCAR.If he bumps someone it was "just racing".But if some one bumps him "the other driver did it on purpose" and Gordon whines to NASCAR and the first microphone he comes to. I say this for I think that you missy are not a race fan but a "groupie" or "soccer mom".I have followed NASCAR since 1960 and have see beeter drivers and worst drivers. So what your saying is from a person that does not know what racing is,.When the green flag drops on raceday the best 43 drivers race. And as for jail,I think you had best learn that racing is a sport and not a QC fasion show.

I've spent most of my life rooting for the underdog- which has meant rooting against the likes of the Yankees, the 49ers, the Cowboys and so on.
As a Gordon fan. I now know what it's like to have the shoe on the other foot- especially because in my family of 4, I'm the only who roots for #24. Of course today, I had the pleasure of reminding my dear wife that her favorite driver finished 42nd.
That's the way it goes.
What I really can't stand is when it goes way over the line. Stewart, Harvick, and Robby Gordon are my least favorite drivers- but I DON'T call them gay, or cheaters, or accuse NASCAR of playing favorites. I also hate it when people make other false accusations and say stuff like he had everything handed to him.
Good natured smack? Absolutely fair game. Hating? It's pathetic and unsportsmanlke. There's a difference and i think anyone with half a brain knows it.
I think that sucks.

Understand and respect your point of view. However everyone is intitled to like or dislike any of the drivers ot teams they want to.
Jeff is on of the best drivers I've seen in the 40 plus years I've watched the sport, but there are politics within Hendrick Motorsport I do not like and do not pull for any of their drivers.
The diversity of the fans makes this sport intresting..
Even the team I like has a member(sort of) I'm not a fan of but the fact he is part of the team I pull for I will support him.
GO JOE GIBBS RACING.

That's so sweet of you to defend Jeff Gordon. You almost had me convinced untill you used Jesus as an excuse. Maybe you should pray for Jeff Gordon when you go to church. Didn't religion teach you anything. People always hate the winner. There can only be one winner, and everyone else is a contender. They wanna win too. You don't have to defend Jeff Gordon, he's a record breaking driver. He knows he's good, he probably gets off on the fact that the majority of people are helpless to the fact that he's gonna win. So if the hating is getting old, it just means that Jeff Gordon is still winning races. Someday when he doesn't win anymore, people will stop hating on him. It's the nature of man, my son.

In once sense, I'm on the other extreme of the spectrum. I can't stand Tony Stewart because of his history of temper tantrums and the destruction to others' cars due to it, not to mention his extremely immature personna he exudes on tv for all to see. But then, I've grown very sick and tired of NASCAR as a whole due to all the "celebrity status" those car drivers get. It's way out of perspective to their actual value to humankind, which is very miniscule indeed. But then, that's also why I haven't watched NFL for decades, and have stopped watching MLB, and hardly, if ever, watched NBA or NHL or any other televised sports, and I grew up in a major city with very competitive teams in most of those sports. I must admit, however, that I have been very much the viewer of the Tour de France bicycle race for years, from back when Greg LeMond first won it back in the 1980's I believe, and then all through Lance Armstrong's reign as "Bicyclist Supreme". But, after what I've seen in this year's Tour, I doubt I'll be watching much of it next year. Seems like when tv gets involved in sports, it all goes to hell, so, I may prefer Jeff Gordon over Tony Stewart (or really, ANYBODY over Tony Stewart - and Kyle Busch), but I've lost all respect and enjoyment of any sport where television gets involved. God Bless you.

Most of the haters are just hopping on the band wagon, and dont know cam angle from duration or where to find that elusive dwell.
I didn't like Dale Sr., tony, JPM., and Bobby Allison for the same reason. When they were in the top 5 during the race my man was in trouble. but you know what thats why I love the sport. Yelling at the screen and loving to hate those drivers daring to pass my guy.

Nah, not getting old if it's all in fun... my husband is a die hard JG fan, I love Kyle Petty... I call JG 'Jeffy Flame Boy' and he calls Kyle 'Cow Pattie'... we have some good times bantering back and forth on race day...it's the fun of the sport and different taste in drivers - but I'd never bad mouth JG in seriousness and my husband knows better than to seriously bash KP, lol!

I think the reason for the hating is for so many of Gordon's first years, there were 2 rule books. 1 for him and 1 for the rest of the league. Whenever someone would take him out of a race he would cry to the league about them but hen he took people out it was hard racing. Another reason is that the announcer have there noses so far up his butt. So what if he got married and had a kid I turned the TV on to watch a race. How many other drivers get married and do not get the same face time. Gordon is nascar equivalent to the NFL's Bret Favre. Whenever Favre throws a bad pass the announcer claim the receiver ran the wrong route. When ever Jeff screws up according to the announcers, it was someone Else's fault.

Look I don't like Gordon, I'll admit that plain and simple . But I don't mind making jabs at him and I don't mind when others take jabs at my favorite drivers. I do it because I find rivalry fun, so much as its taken in jest. My friend and I rip on each other all the time. He likes Jeff Gordon, and I like Dale Jr. You know how that goes, but we take into consideration and respect each others opinion.
I may not like your driver, you may not like mine. But as long as you have mutal respect towards each others veiws, its all good. Fans need to learn to not take things so personally and know when to back off when pressing the issue.
