Christain person talking here. Well, I have to admit... there are Christians that have that problem. As for me, I can accept anyone in this world. I only hate the sin and not the sinner. Just because someone is gay that doesn't mean I would treat him or her like dirt. All I know is that some Christians are influenced by the "wrong teachers" or at least that's what I called them. They can be hypocritical humans too! I guess some of us don't know how to love their neighbors... sorry if this didn't help at all.

Not all Christians are like that.Just like atheist there are some nice ones and some mean ones but most all of Christians have love in there heart's and care for people that are less fortunate.A "true" Christian has the love of God in there hearts and you can see the spirit in them thrue the fruit of the spirit. As far as gays and lesbians that is a choice and it is wrong according to the bible, it is a sin. My brother is gay but I still love him,do I agree with his life style,No of course not cuz I know were that is going to lead him,he knows it is wrong,he is the one who will have to answer to God for his choice he has made, all I can do is pray for him and others that may have chosen a sinful lifestyle, does that make me any better,Not at all.I once lived a sinful lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and I was miserable I was looking for something but I didn't know what it was until I found God and now I don't feel empty anymore. So you see I know were the sinful man is at in there life cuz I was once one of them, the only difference between me and them now is that I chose to turn my life around and live for Christ not for my own selfish wants.

What Christians look down on a disabled veteran? They are not a Christian. And what does that have to do with gays? We don't "look down" on people. We see people who are lost, and in need of a savior. We try to tell them about Jesus, and they are angry with us for that. The Bible says homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin, whether they think they are born that way or not. EVERYONE IS BORN IN SIN. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, THEN JESUS WILL GIVE YOU A NEW HEART,AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE LUSTY DESIRES OF THE FLESH ANYMORE. YOU WILL BE A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST. God makes a way out of sin. It is up to the individual to make that choice. So, if I tell a gay person there is a way out of their sin, and they refuse to turn to Jesus, then they have MADE A CHOICE TO LIVE IN THAT SIN, EVEN THOUGH GOD MADE A WAY OUT OF IT FOR THEM. THEY HAVE CONDEMNED THEMSELVES. I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

I am a Christian and have no problem excepting people for who they are, nor do many of my Christian friends. I have had friends that are gay or lesbian, but I don't judge. I find myself questioning some there life styles, but then say to myself that is their business. And as long as they keep their life style to themselves, and mine to myself I can deal with it. As for as the disabled, I have always accepted them, and worked to help some. You are right about how a person is born is no fault of their own, nor is the disabled from other causes. As a Christian I was raised to believe, God has a purpose for all of us, and not to judge lest you be judged. So my feelings on this is it isn't just Christians that have this problem(if they do), but all people, especially those raised with no morals, ethics, or understanding of others.

I am assuming you are basing this conclusion on your experiences with Christians who have acted in this manner. But no disrespect, but do you have any scientific studies to back up your generalization that most Christians feel/act this way? Have there been studies in which a truly random sampling of all Christians in the world was taken to determine that this is the prevailing attitude of Christians?
I know plenty of Christians who would be most sympathetic and compassionate to people who fall within the categories you mentioned. I sympathize with you if you have many bad experiences with Christians who have been un-Christian to people regardless of their situation, but I hope that most Christians do not feel that way

well. Nobody is perfect. I am a Christian and I don't say that I am perfect, but I try not to look down on people with disabilities. but being homosexual is a choice, nobody has caused them to be that way. They are equal people but they just made some wrong choices. As for people who are mentally impaired or is in a wheel chair I follow the golden rule, Would I like people starring or pointing. I say no, so I don't do it.

Christians love all people. They see the actions/sin as seperate. The person has a soul, and is love by God. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with certain bad choices, or life choices, that does not mean that a Christian does not love the person. If your sister does drugs you hate the addiction but love your sister.

don't you know that there are Christians with a messed up view point if you read the bible you will find that, that kind of mess being going on as for back as Adam and eve so what make you think any thing has change however most of us Christians judge and if it a right judgment its OK but if its one because i don't like something now thats wrong then also we can and should dislike the SIN we are seeing ,however don't judge your brother without judging yourself first
