What is pure down right evil to you and why?

Why? Because innocent people die. Case in point: this president. Got into office w/o a majority of the American vote, threw us into a war that he wanted for personal reasons, and now young men and women are dying because of him.

That's pure evil.

The root of all evil is Religion.... catholicism and it's clone christianity is insidiously evil... They gained power by murdering everything natural.. so thorough were they that all natural civilizations have been wiped out and spiritual people are still being murdered at their hands... Pedophiles and just people who victimize children. Also, people like the two men in Connecticut who brutalized and murdered the wife and two daughters of that endocrinologist a few weeks ago. What those two men did to that family is just pure evil. It would be difficult enough to kill someone in self defense. I can't imagine the evil that would have to be in my heart to torture and murder.

Some people have such good hearts, and other people are just pure evil. It just makes you wonder how people can be so infinitesimally different.

Ah! Good question. I believe that evil is not so much any particular action or actions so much as the motivation behind said actions and inactions. These motivations are based on things that are harmful to humanity as a whole, meaning things that weaken humanity and the individual. So, with that in mined here is my definition of evil: Actions and inactions resulting from intentional and unrepentant ignorance*, indolence**, gluttony+, bigotry++, profligacy# and cowardice.## {See Note Below}

The only conclusion I can come to is that the person is either 1 of the 3 stated above or Is a complete Dumbass who's just being awkward for the pure sake of it...........I just hope its the latter option!!

Hi! I personally believe that pure evil is any negative force (person, thoughts, actions, etc.) that try to destroy a person's life force (their soul). I stay away from evil -- you know it and you feel it. Hope this helped!

You can not be evil out of ignorance. It takes knowledge of what is 'right' and choosing other. Evil, to me is when you have a choice between loving/nurturing and ignoring/harming and choose the latter.
Evil is usually perpetrated on one's self first.

People who harm animals because they 1)like to watch the animals suffer or 2)don't care enough to prevent it.

I don't mind killing animals for meat or to protect oneself and one's family, as long as it is done quickly. I don't mind humane euthanasia performed by a vet. But hurting an animal out of malice or indifference is evil because it is unnecessary. If there is a humane alternative but you chose to harm then your action is evil.
