Good question, you got a star for it!!! Unfortunately, cakes do not transport well, even getting a cake from home to a picnic, office party, etc., can be a major headache......I would suggest that you try something else that transports well, and the best one that I can think of are either Brownies or Blondies (brownies w/o the cocoa).........These can be mailed to another state with success, due to their density.......I just didn't want you to go to the trouble of making a beautiful cake for someone to enjoy and when it got there was a mess of crumbs......So, if you'd like some killer brownie or blondie recipes, email me at my 360 profile page.......Till then, Enjoy!!

Absolutely. Just make sure it's well padded and packed. Double boxed would be wise. Try and keep the cake inside from moving around too much and do not send a frosted cake expecting it to stay perfect.

My sister-in-law from New Zealand once shipped a cake complete with fondant icing from Auckland to the US. If a cake can get that far, so can yours.

Ask your company, they may even provide the box and other materials needed to get it there safely.
