well I'm 25 working as a part time builder not a bad job but I wouldn't mind a job where basically I get paid loads for doing nothing. Because I'm fairly laid back and don't like to give orders. The job that I've got doesn't give me enough hours and doesn't pay very well. I've basically spent the past ten years going from job to job but nothing really sparks my interest. I like to play alot of video games, I love going on the computer. I am actually good with people but feel as though I should be an employee rather than an employer as I don't like to give orders but idk But I feel as though that I need a career otherwise I'll get to 30 with no job and that would be just weird so yer can anyone help.

You only live once, so find a career that you enjoy. If you like computers, maybe you can find something in that field. My best advice would be to get a career book (occupations handbook) at the library and search through it. It lists just about every career and everything about it including :pros, cons, hours, wage, how easy it is to find a job in that field, and education level needed for entry.... thats how I ended up picking my career (software developer).

I dont get why you dont like to give orders??

If you dont have a college degree, think about going to school while you work if possible. Getting a good job/career going isnt all that easy, unless you have alot of connections. Even still, you will have awhile before you can make any good advancements.

My advice to you is to either go to school and get a degree in something USEFUL! When i say useful, i mean dont try to get a psychology degree or an early childhood education degree. Do some research and find a rewarding career that you could enjoy and go to school. Get student loans from FAFSA.

If you dont get a college degree, the only way you could go anywhere with a career would be to keep doing what you are doing. Maybe try to get another job in a different area. You would have to work your way up. Not everyone can do this, but the people that do are usually rewarded well. It takes alot of time to get to a high status this way.

I am in my 5th year of engineering at UT and im doing a co-op at a big manufacturing company. The so called engineers there had to work their way up from many years doing other things in the similar field. Our engineering manager was an electrician and then a welder before doing the managing job. He is in his late forty's/ early fiftys and only been doing the engineering managing for 5 years. However, all the work paid off, because he is now making about $200,000 a year at a 9 to 5 job.

Good luck to you
