I do to. it's not something I think about all the time.lol. But when I come across it , it bothers me, people took the time to answer while others just wanted the points!! I'm a huge Outsiders fan!

Hey there, yeah I have to admit I do find it rude when people don't take the time to pick a best answer to a question they've asked.
It's ok that it may not be me choosen but I think its only fair that you should pick a best answer. I have to admit though, that with the few questions I've asked, I always wait to the very last minute to pick a best answer. So it may seem longer then most, but that's because I want to make sure I've gotton every reply I will get regarding my question.
I reckon that there should be something in place to ensure that if you ask a question you have to give it a best answer.
Maybe as soon as you long in, unless you've extended yyour question's time, you must choose a best answer from user before you can access any other part of yahoo answers.
What do you think?

I don't really worry about it. Some questions just have variations of the same answer so I can see why some people don't pick a best and let it go to a vote. For example how are you going to pick a best answer for this question when there are a lot of similar answers, see it can be tricky ;)

It's annoying but sometimes the person asking can't decide which answer to pick. I'm sure some people are just too busy to get back to their questions to pick an answer too, then it goes to voting. While using this site is fun, it's not always first on my mind during the day.

No, I don't. I have posted dozens of questions and picked just two or three best answers. So, you are saying you post your answer and eagerly await the best answer result to see if yours gets picked?

perhaps they had trouble picking the best answer and wanted it to go to "voting" OR go into a horrible accident and was not able to get to their computer to pick answer
