If you will remember when God first created Adam and Eve, they were in Heaven in the Garden of Eden until the fall. Our sin is what keeps us from Heaven until death not God. Oh, and by the way if you are saved and go to Heaven, you don't die anyway, there is only a physical death and you are given a glorified body in Heaven.

Your question is strange. It's like saying if my beloved loves me, why won't she let me see the mansion where she lives.
God is the reward for seeking God, not heaven. "Heaven is a wonderful place, full of beauty and grace" (from a song). Heaven is just a place to be with our beloved.
We experience God here and now through His command to love our neighbors as ourselves. "Where Love Is, There God Is Also", a powerful short story by Leo Tolstoy that shows us how we ought to live. It's on the internet at:

Kevil,
There is a great deal of misunderstanding about God, and also about what we call death. Of course, there is no proof out there that will convince sceptics otherwise, but I have been studying this thing for a great many years, and have come to some strongly held conclusions about it. If I may, I would like to share them with you. The Being we call God, is indeed, the Essence of true love. Not the corrupted love that we are all familiar with on Earth. What we call love, is usually egocentric, and somewhat selfish. True love, is selfless, and rarely seen among humans. As far as dying to see Heaven is concerned, that is a myth. From what I have been able to determine, those who survive their mortal existence on Earth, will not arrive at the center of the Universe, for a great many lifetimes as we know them. There is a method in place, which allows us to grow spiritually, on one planetary classroom after another, until we have reached a stage of perfection which will allow us to be in the Presence of God. Death it seems, is only the beginning. Think of it as more like a transition, from the dense world of matter, to ever increasing levels of Spirit existence. On each new level, we will learn new lessons about the nature of Deity, and the administration of the Universe. As we complete each level, we abandon our old shell, and are transported to the next planetary school, where a new form awaits us. We awaken there, and in the company of our companions/teachers, begin the next phase of our growth. To me, it beats sitting around on a cloud, singing and playing a harp. You will have to decide for yourself what you choose to believe. The old ideas about God, that are taught in man made religions, are rather pathetic and incomplete. I think most people are starting to realize, that our conventional attitudes about God, and His methods of working with us, are pretty unrealistic. Everybody must decide what they will believe. May you find enough of the truth, to make your life worth living. Peace be unto you.............
Will

Death is no guarantee that a person will see heaven. It's how you live your life between birth and death that will determine that. Love is an important factor.

You only die if you're not going to heaven. If you don't except Jesus Christ and his salvation then your are already dead. Jesus is the only way to the Father in heaven. It is when you except His sacrifice that you actually begin living. God Bless you.

you assume death is a bad thing and that no one alive has seen it.
Heaven is spiritual and we are in physical form which is corrupted. Whether Adam and Eve sinned or not, you have willfully sinned in your life and that has separated you from understanding spiritual things. When we get the HolyGhost/baptized and seek to live right, a right relationship with God begins.

You act like death is the worst thing in the world, as if life is the most important thing. Life is only a preparation, a test, if you will, and nothing compared to the eternity we would spend rejoicing in heaven or rotting in hell.

lol, never heard that 1 before. Death is really just a part of life. A new beginning. Our bodies may die but our soul is fresh and full of youth.
