And then … as if that were not enough:
-- You lead your ‘chosen people’ on a wild goose chase for 40 years, while systematically killing 80-85% of them;
-- You kill (by drowning, no less) all but a couple members of each species, of all of the life you have created; and
-- You humiliate, torture, and kill your only son.
A shrink can’t help that kind of sadistic and criminally insane behavior.

There is no invisible man floating around in the sky.
'Man 'did not create everything there is .
I think Mankind has written inspired books of collected wisdom, in an effort to help his fellow man live a better life.
I hope you don't try to create a mean little guy!
Who says there is only one single planet with screwy , evil . lifeforms
I think believing in things you cannot see or prove is called Faith. I hope that one day you find some !!!
Oh--- and OK, You are a shrink

You are crazy, nuts, loony, whakko, insane, and narrowminded.
God has always been there, read Genesis.
God is not invisible, he doesn't show himself, he's in heaven, remember?
He made people because the universe was empty.
The evil little guy with a pitchfork, thats from movies. No one know what he looks like, so they created that image as the devil. He was accually an angel that got greedy and wanted to be better than god. God kicked him out of heaven, and instead of twiddling his thumbs, he torment people.
Try church sometime.

I won't give you the name of my shrink because he was a Christian.... and you'd be terribly disappointed in his counsel.
But I see in your little "mantra" there that you are trying... desperately TRYING to understand an infinite God with a finite mind. This is the problem that you face, as most other atheists do.
Can you expect an ant to understand what a planet or comet is? Can you explain to a tree what lava is? How can you explain what "blue" is to a rock?
Oh, now I can hear all you atheists saying that I am calling you stupid and dumb! Not at all! I am simply saying that we human beings are FINITE creatures, with limited... yes, LIMITED imaginations. Even we Christians have a hard time understanding the God we believe in!!
If you wish to call a psychologist, psychiatrist, or therapist, go ahead. Believe me, trying to grapple with such a large concept as an infinite God is quite a bit to chew on! But even the doctors cannot fully comprehend all that God is. But just remember that no matter how you may try, you cannot limit an infinite God.
Have a blessed day.

Mr. Shrink, in your opinion, if we will ever meet somewhere in the dark part of the universe, where light (photon particles) can't reach and atmosphere does not exist, will then I stop existing just because you will not be able to see me or hear me even if I would be just two meters apart of you crying out loud to you that I am there?
You know, the small island not so long ago none believed exists... yeah, the present USA. well, it started suddenly to exist only after Galileo Galilee seen it the first time? Well, this sounds crazy.
Surely you are not a fool but your opinion is of a fool. You should change your teacher.
Peace!

The Bible tells us that the things that are unseen (invisible) are more real than the things that are seen (visible). God speaks things into the visible realm. God says let there be and it is , God created and it is.
Hell was created not for man. It was created for The Devil and his Angels. Later it was for The Devil and his followers so if a man chooses to follow The Devil well they (mankind) have chosen his home. God gives us choices and we get to make them. You are told what lies along the pathway you choose in assents what lies behind door number one and door number two. He (God) tells you how to avoid the wrong door. He send the Shepherd to save us. FOLLOW THE SHEPHERD. Choose you THIS DAY who you will serve.
I think the word I was looking for to go with visible and seen is finite (that which is limited) and invisible and unseen is infinite (that which is unlimited). When we become like God we will be infinite (unlimited) and we will be apart of the New Heaven and earth. God sees all things and we will be able to see that realm also.

I am not an Atheist because I do believe in God, and I am not a Christian either...or a member of any organized religion.
I do believe in God, but I absolutely do not believe in Religion, and the God I believe in is very different from the God that Christians believe in.
The God I believe is NOT some invisible guy with a long white beard, sitting on a cloud, watching us and judging us, to decide if we are worthy of heaven, or deserve to be damned to eternal hell.
The God I believe in is not a separate entity at all. The God I believe in has no gender! The God I believe in is ALL THAT IS! God is the whole of everything. And everything is God. We are all made of smaller pieces of the same energy substance that God is. We are all parts of God in the exact same way that a drop of water is a part of the ocean. This is not a metaphor, this is a literal fact......and we are also all one, in the exact same way that a drop of water is a part of the ocean.
There is also no such thing as an invalid life path or an invalid belief systems as far as God is concerned. If you are following the path that is truly right for you, and not letting any outside influence determine your path, then you are following the correct path. Despite what many Christians choose to believe, this includes Atheism, and it even includes Homosexuality. Despite what way too many Christians choose to believe, God does not judge us, in any way, shape or form. God truly wants us to experience anything and everything that we choose to experience....so that he/she can also experience....through each of us...everything that there is to experience. This is our purpose for being, and this is God's purpose as well.
So, do not judge another person's path.....and do not profess to know what is the right answer, or the right path for anyone else. *sm*

Throughout history man created gods to explain the things that they did not know(examples are, the Greeks created Zeus to explain why lightening struck the earth, which thanks to science we now know that's not true. And the Hawaiians had Pele the goddess of volcanoes.) While I do not believe in the Christian God, I do believe that the gods do(did) exist. They exist in history and in stories that have been past down by our forefathers.

you get my vote for most stupid question of the day. What you describe has very little to do with religion and everything to do with myth and maybe rumors.. and nothing of course, to do with spirituality.
I take that back. It doesn't really have anything to do with myth, or any religion, or anything at all...it ain't even a question as far as I can tell.
Just in case you think I'm critical because my beliefs go against yours, I'm neither Christian nor atheist nor anti-spirituality nor anti-myth, for that matter.
What I am in favor of is spiritual seeking without taunts and insults, whether they are veiled, sarcastic, or blatant... what you are doing here is showing a whole lot of ignorance and inability to form a comprehensible intelligent question without trying to offend.
Try again, if there's a real question in that mess.
