To unbelievers, this would be a logical conclusion, but for us believers, God always was, and He always will be, so man did NOT create God, God created man.

all religion is made up, even the only real one, which is what was given to the hebrew people by God. God decided what would be appropriate, and he made it up, so yes all are made up.

In terms of world religions, there are many. One of the very interesting concepts that you might want to look into the the parallalism of the general concepts of religion. For example, punishment for doing wrong, though what wrong is may not be defined. Prayer as a way of life and the gifts that are brought forth to the alters.

The concept that seperates the jewish and christian concept of salvation is in the person, nature and works of the messiah. Both look to him for the sacrifice of himself to pay the price for sin, which by definition is lawlessness. More specifically, you have the old testiment law, and the embodiment of it in Christ in the new testiment.

Equally, the jew and christian both know that apart from the Messiah, they do not stand a chance of salvation because they have nothing to offer God, everything they have to include the ability to breath is all given and on borrowed time. We all shall die.

Most other religions, and even some that call themselves christian teach a form of works, if you do good works you will be saved. I do not know of any religion apart from the one God made up for the Jews that teaches we come a beggars, unworthy even to ask for forgiveness.

so in terms of a made up religion I see looking more like that from a Holy Righteous God, the ones the jews have seems to pass the acid test, and as pointed out above, Christianity is a relationship of the forgiven with Christ, adoption as brothers and sisters so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.

hope this helps,

Right! all cultures, even the ones isolated from the rest of the world, developed a worship for some higher being, even though that trait isnt any benefical when it comes to natural selection (part of evolution, which is true for me). Im not trying to convince anyone with this, but it kinda makes you wonder...

Yep...even if there is a god, there is more than 10,00 registered religions in the united states alone, let alone all the aliens in the universe with there own religions.

So it would seem that they cant all be right, but what are the chances that ANY of them are right.

That is exactly what it is. That is why people that live in different regions believe differrent things. Furthermore, most religions can be characterized as "hear-say" which is why no religions/religious teachings/edicts/etc... are able to be used in litigation. In other words, you can't say you killed someone because god told you to and get away with it.

Yeah, it's a human attempt to make a structure out of our urge to have a meaning in the wider universe. Different people from different places and different times have expressed this urge in their own ways, but ultimately it's the same urge.

I know The God that I believe in, He is more than mere words in a book. When my son's life was ended in the 7th month of pregnancy, He was there to lift me up, time and time again He was there to lift me up or just plain help me to avoid more problems. When I almost died 3 different times I was sustained by His peace and love. I have NO DOUBTS that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek His Face.

The theory that religion is a man (don't mean to be sexist here) made system to explan the unexplanable and to give comfort and to provide for social order - - - is highly likely.

Yes, but many people need the security of the feeling of a higher power and ultimate guide. That's why religion always has been and always will be.

There is one and one only true God and it is Jesus. Humans were created by God. Jesus is the son of God and he walked on the earth. The only god that you can prove is real is Jesus. Its all in the bible.

i can't say for sure but to a degree i can believe it because all the people who are supposedly religious and believe in god or what ever they believe in usually seem to be worse people who aren't religious almost as if it does nothing for them
