People always say oh are u new here... and i get so embarssed because i live 5 minutes away from the church and i havn't even read all of the bible and they know so much and i don't know past adam and eve. It's not like my parents ever took me to sunday school when i was 8... i just feel stupid and pointless going there.... isn't that wrong!?

Hebrews 10:24, 25 mentions the purpose:
"....let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works,  not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together."
If you are not incited to be loving and motivated to do fine works, you are in an inferior religion.
Switch.
Seek another religion.

church is for learning about God and encouraging eachother. An enviroment where there is love and a desire to be a better person. If you aren't getting either of those things your aren't interacting positively or your church is lacking.

As far as the Bible is concerned. It's between you and God, if you believe in Him, read His words. Any accomplishment takes effort.

I don't attend a "church". We are the body of believers, not a building made with hands. Wherever 2 or more are gathered, Jesus is with us.

We have a homegroup that we study and worship in. Don't get too wrapped up in the modern organized corporate "church". Virtually all of them are full of false doctrines.
