i see that this question gets alot of heat.

that must be why so many wars started over religion cause one religion wants you to take in there belief and then the other person rejects it then the other guy gets mad and you get mad then were all mad

i almost understand it now hahaha

so what you people are saying is the bible is to learn life and guide you but others completly disagree with that nonsence so now your all stuck on trying to get the others to see whats realy true when the other person thinks your dumb iim glad you guys gave me opinions. now i can see why religion has allways and will allways STAY a conflict, you speek of not murdering and following the bible i understand we "sin" but we dont even relize that we will go against the bible and its your own consiquence that gives you punishment. its not that god is angry that you didnt follow the bible

agreed.

It should be the other way around. When they put their beliefs on us, they should get punished.

In the old days God would start killing His people until they would go back to following His instructions, (Noah and the original Israelites that left Egypt with Moses just to name a few). This is how the "fear" of God got implanted in the early days of The Bible. The problem with Christians is they refuse to accept the fact that just because Jesus didn't kill anyone the first time He came to earth that He will start killing people once again as He did when He was God of The Old Testament, which He said He would do when He returns to earth the second time. I hope this answers your question.

it's not about rules, it's about the God's way/perfect way to live. Living selfishly and destructively will ultimately make you and others, miserable.

If you break the law, do you pay the fine? Same thing. We shouldn't even have laws, people should be able to work together and live happily, but yet they can't because of sin. We wouldn't need rules if we were all perfect. We're not, so God tells us the right ways to live, and not to do so, is to choose the consequences whether we like them or not. Sin can't enter into heaven. If we love sin and refuse to clean it from our hearts/minds, we are choosing to not go to heaven.

"we" have the bible? I don't have a bible, therefore "we" cannot have the bible. It's a fictional story. A bunch of nonsense. Answers below are right.... when those people try to put their beliefs on us, they should go straight to hell (that doesn't exist either)....but if there was one, that's where they should go.

You buy a car, you get a manual.
You buy a fridge, you get a manual.
You buy a camera, you get a manual.
You buy a computer, you get a manual.
Manuals talk about right and wrong ways to use what you have.
The Bible is a manual, talking about the right and wrong way to use the life you have.

It sets the moral standard, and also the truth in worship. Without it man would have died off many years ago.
