By the time the chase starts, Jr will be about 17th in points. His father must not have taught him how to race, looks like Teresa taught him. LOL.

I just heard Tony Eury say ""well if we make the chase we make it, if we dont we dont"". What the hell kind of attitude is that. I think this may be part of what Jr. is trying to get away from. Equipment failure again. I don't know about the missed shift but JR. has paid for some bad team mistakes.

We wouldnt be having this conversation if he hadn't lost 100 points for a crew error.

It would appear so but then again, this is NASCAR. Weird things happen all the time.

I wouldn't rule him out completely though. Albeit his luck has been sucking, he has at least been running good in those races before he ran into trouble. But in typical fashion, they just can't seem to close the deal.

I hate to say this but I would just about agree with you on his chances looking slim. With 4 races left he needs all he can get. His best chance to pull something off would be at Bristol. Any more luck like he's had and that's it.

Wait for Richmond to give up. Harvick is a good example who thought he was well in the chase, is is now a chaser.

yes, as long as DEI keeps giving him subpar engines that can't make it for an entire race like they have in 3 out of the last 4 races, he has no chance of making it. i can't wait until he gets out of the crappy DEI eqipment and moves on to HMS

note to NASCARdomis: you haven't heard about the missed shift because there was none. the person asking the question made that part up because he has some weird gay attraction to junior, so he just needs to work out his issues.

eh i don't know yet, you never know what could happen. Jr could win a race and all the guys ahead of him could be 30th and back. you just never know anymore. odds point to yes but there is no way you can tell Jr. that, he's got his dad's stubbornness in his blood.

No it's not time for Junior to hang it up for this year.
Bad luck follows him around like a shadow.
Just like some people we know.
