I was baptized in 1986.

Just my 2 cents:

Because of it's nature, no one REALLY knows who anybody is in this kind of electronic forum. Though there are no doubt many great brothers and sisters out there, personally, I don't dare trust one single person on Y/A or any other e-group. Even ones that I have observed in a "favorable" light for years...and I have good reasons to reinforce my convictions in this matter.

However, there ARE some sincere, honest-hearted ones who are genuinely seeking biblical truths through Y/A and other outlets and that is the ONLY reason why I contribute any informational resources for consideration.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses, have been for around 30 years. Have been pioneering for 4 months and will start regular pioneering next month. (Hope my feet hold out). Is something wrong? Don't forget Jehovah provides the elders as a resource....but feel free to contact me through email.

And yes, as the other brothers and sisters have said, be careful of apostates!!!!

I am, and I'd like to remind you to be careful. There are some slick apostates on Yahoo Answers who will tell you they're Witnesses or that they're "studying" or that they are related to Witnesses or that they used to be for X number of years, etc... I have been on Yahoo for awhile and I recommend you talk to someone from your local Kingdom Hall. If you insist on someone here, then I recommend Hannah J Paul or achtung_heiss. They are both knowledgeable and reasonable and have displayed a zeal for Jehovah and his people. Check out their answers and you'll see what I mean! You could always email me but I recommend a sister like Hannah J Paul!

Hi lady , don't talk to me or anyone you see on yahoo ans.--not saying that there is anything wrong with either one here and I am somewhat familiar with some who correspond here. However the proper avenue for you to use is to lacate ACTIVE JW's at the KINGDOM HALL in your area personally.Seek an elder or several along WITH a friend, and not necessarly an older person--persons.

Personal fellowship has an important role in true worship, but the internet is certainly *NOT* the place for true Christians to find good association.

(Hebrews 10:24,25) And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.

#1 You can't 'talk' --(or, its equivalent-email)-- anyone, without having your account open to accepting Yahoo! Answer's anonymous email service. Yahoo! Answers is not a blog, or a chat room. When used either of those ways, Questions, Answers --& entire Y!A's accounts-- can get deleted! That is because it is against certain Y!A's guidelines to do so, which ALL of us agreed to (whether we individually bothered to read them or not), before we were allowed to get an account here.

#2 In one of your Answers, you claim to have been "born a Jehovah's Witness". NO ONE is "born a JW"! For children, it takes years of study, learning, actual practice applying Bible principles & commands, --before-- one is even considered as --possibly-- qualified to become one. The closest one can come to it, is to live *around* or
*among* Jehovah's Witnesses. That is hardly the same thing. The mere fact that you made that claim, shows that you have yet to acquire full appreciation for what it means --in depth-- to be a Jehovah's Witness.

I don't get the impression that you are very old, either. Or, at least, that you are very naive. And that it would be very unwise for you to be allowed Y!A's email access, although automatically anonymous.

It is unwise --& even dangerous-- to seek out friendships --OR, important personal advice-- on the internet, even among those claiming to be JWs, as there is NO way of knowing who they REALLY are, or what their TRUE goals are...

--It is EXTREMELY easy to lie, on the World Wide Web!

PROTECT YOURSELF!

You would be wise to seek advice from those you PERSONALLY know that you can trust, instead.

Not even the WISEST persons are capable of being able to recognize the difference between a 'talented' liar & a genuine person, on the Internet!

"Be wise... Make my heart rejoice." --Pr 27:11a

To be very frank...

Any of the answerers who claim to be what you aare looking for, can easily be fakes. And --as far as any of us can tell-- you yourself could also EASILY be a person with 'ulterior motives'...

YES--Even with other Qs & As that seem to be very convincing!

...SERIOUSLY!

I hope you take the foresight to ask whomever you decide to talk to which congregation they attend, who the elders are there and the phone number to that Hall so that you can confirm that they are who they say they are---otherwise who knows who you are talking to? Besides if you need to speak to someone who shares the truth why not speak to those who are local to you?
