Ok, well my cousins friend fell in a coma due to a car accient in 2000. She just woke up about a month ago. She lived in Manhattan. But she was transferred to a hospital in Massachusttes. So she is going back to NYC. The problem is she worked in WTC1 as a finance person. She doesn't know they were destroyed. So now she has no job or anything. Also she lost many friends in the attack. We found out. So how are we going to tell her this?

She is waking up to a whole new world.

She will need professional help in dealing with the changes, that's where your advice needs to come from as well. Once she starts working with a therapist, let the therapist tell you how to help her.

Why not take a taxi ride to show her the old neighborhood. Eventually, the skyline will allow the conversation to get around to the subject.

Tell her very gradually. Ask her Dr. for advice. You don't want to shock her. She can always get another job.
