YES! my parents wouldn't let me go by myself til i was 13 but i hated it and would go anyway sometimes and those were like, the worst years with my family cuz they wouldn't let me have my freedom, so just know what movie it is, what time, and how she's getting home or whatever and *trust her*.

It only depends on whether the 14 year old is responsible or not. If yes, parents should always know which movie she is watching, who her friends are, time she will be going and coming home, & where she will be at all times. As long as she is on close watch and she is safe, there should be no problem with it.

Yes, so long as the parents know which movie it is, approve of it, and drop the children off and pick them up afterwards. It is important for a fourteen year old to start to feel a little independence. In this way you can allow a little independence without really letting go of the reins. It is also okay to allow another of the parents to do the dropping off or the picking up as long as you know the parent and speak to him/her in person.

It depends on the 14 year old and where the movie is. My 13 year old goes alone with friends in the mall movie theatre and my city has a very low crime rate.

Sure... IF certain conditions are met. IF the teen is a responsible and trustworthy teenager, yes. IF you know the friends she is going with and they are not a "bad crowd". IF you know the movie is age appropriate and you know the starting/ending times. And, IF a responsible adult drops off/picks up the teenager afterwards.

Depends on where you live- if you live in a rough neighborhood or in a big city, than no, absolutely not. But if you live in an ok place and there's not much traffic, yes. Just make sure you know what movie they're seeing, when they'll be back, etc. And make sure they stay together.

depends on the teenager and how responsible and mature they behave. I was allowed to, however there had to be a parent driving us and picking us up, and my parents had to know those particular parents, and friends, I wasn't allowed to go anywhere without my parents unless they knew the friend and their parents.

I think so. I do all the time. Just make sure one of you always has a cell phone on them, now where your meeting after the movie gets over and who is giving rides there and back.

I allow my 14 year old daughter to go with her friends but only if she has her cell phone.
