More and more preachers are urging their people, "God wants you to get rich. He wants you to be first class."They are falling into the same money focused gospel that Jesus drove out of the temple in his day.

I don't hear many preachers talking about the end times and the signs. What I still hear is the name it and claim it. Solomon warns not to be poor, so we don't steal. And not be rich and forget about God. I didn't see Jesus living an extravagant life.
This to me is covertness. And we shouldn't do this, as God, our Father, owns all.
It is as in the time of Noah, people went about eating, getting married, etc.. This is what I see today. People are oblivious to what is going on. Only a few see it, and I believe even less preachers are preaching it. Sin isn't preached on, as compromise won't let toes be stepped on. Too many feel good messages. Well, Hell won't feel good.

you are so right!
this 'preachers' are trying their best to get their followers to think that God will bless them with something that is already cursed.
The Pharisees were money lovers! Luke 16 :14

1Timothy 6 ;10 reads, " the love of money is the root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains.11)However, you, O man of God, flee from these things. But pursue righteousness, godly devotions, faith, love, endurance, mildness of temper

why, oh why, do people allow such 'preachers' into their homes ( via t.v.)??.

I agree, and its the spiritually weak Christian that falls for it.

Unfortunately, religion is big business. That is why in 1 John, chapter 4, there is much discussion on the Spirit of Truth vs the Spirit of Error. This is what is happening in some of the apostate churches today.

Even if your Pastor/Reverend/Priest does not preach it, you should know because you read your bible. I think, we Christians will be without excuse for falling for a lie.

I'm being told to take care of those in need, to try to shine God's love and peace into the world. It is true, though, that I do not hear explicit warnings about the spiritual dangers of wealth coming from the pulpit as often as I did as a child.

What is preached more is about Prosperity and Blessings

But there are messages that make ourselves aware and readies us for the Rapture, the kinda messages like Sanctification, holiness YES..we should carryy the WORD not to make people lives blessed but rather Preapre them for the Eternal Kingdom.

I believe God will prosper those who follow His teachings, however, this does not always include monetary prosperity.
Sometimes He prospers our Faith, our Spirituality, sometimes our family, He can bless us with many children, He can bless our job, our home, our ministry, bringing others to know Him. It is true that God wants us to live a blessed life, in need of nothing, as long as it does not interfere with our relationship with Him. First we must walk in obedience.
God Bless You....Peace.
