Like with any other election for me, the canidates must address the needs of the nation, not a just a small part of the country. If a president was going to do things to make the world a better and safer place, decrease humanities impact on the environment and get the planet healed. Not go into fruitless wars and bring the nations problems out of the dark and fix them as best as they can, such as repairing new orleans and other parts of the south and midwest. End the poverty and cruel tax system etc.. To me it wouldnt matter if the president was atheist or not, as long as they change the nation and world for the better, besides we need an alternative to the christian dominated presidencies, we have never had a non christian as president, yet america is the new roman empire and in the roman empire they had foreigners and people of differant skin color and religion as leaders yet for some reason americans cant and we are supposed to be better then the past nations but still they are in some ways ahead of us.

I have to agree, That atheist, or Christian or Muslims, All of the ruling governments have done much distrait and damage, to the humane kind in the name oh the (god that no body have ever seen or felt the protection off), so I can care less about what the president fallow, I will be concerned that he will try to form the country's way's to his believes, and the so called Devill will take over??, (oh hold on can't get worst than what it is), so I will vote for the people>

All things being equal, I would not mind voting for an atheist. Religion wouldn't matter one bit as far as my vote went.
...
...except Scientology. No way would I vote for a Scientologist.

I would vote for an atheist president if what he/she proposed followed the will of God and was a good plan.

I am atheist, but I would not vote for a Prime Minister specifically because he/she was one as well. That would not be a factor in my decision.

Only if I liked his platform, I am not so blind as to only vote for those that have the same philosophy as me, I vote for who I think is best for the job.

I don't think so. Why do I believe then?
But if the believer candidates are traitors or corrupted and the atheists are just and qualified then I may.
