Bayside High School is a high school in the New York City's public school system, serving grades 9 through 12 (after that, you go to college/university/trade school to continue school education).
It's just a regular school in a decent area. They have the regular menu of activities and sports teams, and I do know that they also have a good music program, if you're into that.
I'm really not sure of what grade "year 9" corresponds to here, so I won't guess for fear of giving you bad information. We'll let the appropriate authorities handle that exchange.

Good but not as good as Cardoza and Forest Hills.
