Well as the children get older they might get darker and end up the same color. If thats not the case, then it might be the genes. If your stepdaughter is white then its likely one of her children will be white and the others is black. If it helps, i know a pair of twins who are nothing alike. One is tall, tan, and dark brown hair/eyes. The other is average height, pale, freckles, red hair, blue eyes((i think))

I know a set of twins one is 6'3" the other is 5'2". One has dark brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses the other has blonde/red hair, green eyes and doesn't wear glasses. One has freckles, one doesn't. One has Down Syndrome one doesn't do you think anyone will believe they are twins? Or do you think kids will make fun of them? Get real. Instead of teaching your children the differences in themselves and what makes them NOT a part of your family you should love them for the INDIVIDUALS that they are. Geeze teaching intolerance INSIDE the home, what a lousy parent.

yeah it's tough. You just have to teach them now, that we are all made differently because it makes life more interesting. teach them to be strong and forgiving and they won't have such a hard time in school.

Everyone gets teased at some point for some reason or another.

There are books in the library that can help you teach tolorance and forgiveness and to be proud of who we are etc, just as the librarian to show you where these books are and read them to the children.
yes, you can begin now. the younger the better.

Goos luck

We all have things that make us potential targets for teasing & abuse from other kids at school.
Hopefully these two girls will form a close sibling relationship and (eventually) learn to not care what other kids say about them.
Good luck.

Wow - talk about borrowing trouble. Haven't you ever seen sisters that didn't look alike? The kids at school have, too.

i knew a couple that had twin boys - both parents were white, and the twins are not both white. one is black. so, i don't really see a problem at all. oh, btw, the doc confirmed that her husband is the father to both boys....
