My roommate and I are arguing about how animals reproduce. He seems to think they don't give birth out of their vaginas, instead they give birth out of their *** or some bull like that. Pretty much he is an idiot...

Good grief, what planet is your roommate from? Of course cats (female) have vaginas. They also have ovaries, fallopian tubes and a uterus. Also cats (males) have a penis and testicles.
Tell this to your roommate — the male cat's penis has spines on it...yes, you read it right, spines.
I will keep this explanation Biology 101, for the sake of our younger people :)
When cats mate, the male has to approach the female several times & run away again or she'll attack him. Eventually, she'll signal him that she's ready. Now, as I said, the male's penis has SPINES on it; they point back, toward him. So, when he enters her vagina, there is no pain for thr female.
The male must grab the female, with his teeth, around the neck. This is not to hurt her — this is so she cannot move. It's for HIS protection! After he ejaculates, he pulls out and RUNS FOR HIS LIFE!
Remember the spines? They didn't hurt going in; but going out...serious pain for the poor female. So, normal reaction — kill the son of ... ahem, 101, right... she lets out a tremendous scream, quickly turns & tries to attack him (don't blame her).
The reason for the spines is to make the female ovulate. She may be in heat, but she does not ovulate until after she mates. The spines scrape the walls of her vagina, causing ovulation to occur. Then she will get pregnant.
Now you can go back to your roommate & tell him, not only that female cats have vaginas, but exactly how they reproduce. I bet he won't believe you about the spines, but it's 100% true.
