A better question would be "Why are there even black christians at all, when the bible condones and supports slavery?". And the idea of a white christ is laughable given the geographical location of his supposed origin.

The reason why Black Americans would dislike white Americans is because they are often discriminated against by white Americans. White Americans have a history of discrimination, religion has nothing to do with it.

where are these pictures of god you talk about? if there are any pictures of a god I want to see em. at least then there may be some credible evidence of a gods existence. I didn't even think that cameras were around then
I don't go to to many churches, aside from funerals and weddings, and it seems to me the only depictions I have seen are that of Jesus, son of god, but not god hiself. I always thought god or at least the idea of god was that of an entity and not a humanoid form as such. therefore I would not have thouht that your racist veiw was relevent...i'm not christian so i am only guessing here??!!

that's a controversy that's not a clean one. It was utilized by utilising some persons recruiting for the country of Islam...besides as some white supremacist communities. My answer to that grew to become into, is and could stay: God isn't white. God isn't black. God isn't one particular race. The Bible teaches in John 4:24 that God is spirit, and people who have self belief could worship God in spirit and in reality. Plus if one believes that God created human beings in his or her own photograph, then God is like countless human beings. a confusing theory, yet it is how I see it. photograph smart, God is who one needs God to be. that's not unavoidably suited or incorrect...it purely is through human nature. i'm black, yet my relatives grew to become right into a multicultural one. for this reason the explanation I continuously tried to discover pictures of God, Jesus, the Virgin Mary that contemplated a sort of ethnicities. it works for us :)

God is God, and it doesn't matter what color He is. Christians do not worship images, so to them it doesn't matter what color the picture of God is in a church.
Although, to some it does, and there are hundreds of churches with pictures of a black God.

Actually, my God was a middle-eastern Jew when He was here 2,000 years ago, so he's probably olive-skinned. No one knows exactly what Jesus looked like; the earliest fresco of Jesus was about 300 A.D., and it wasn't very detailed.
Modern representations of Jesus are based upon the paintings of Renaissance artists, which may have been biased.

How come Americans say "One nation under God" when they stole the land from the natives? Was god the one who told them to kill off the natives?
I can go off topic too

I am not religious, but it appears to be obvious that someone from the middle east could not of been "white." Most people at least acknowledge that.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ was olive skinned. That, my friend is not white. I know some people that look like they have seen a ghost, and that is white!
