She's part rat terrier and part miniature pinscher, and she's well fed so I don't think it's because she's hungry. But she's obsessed with trash! If I put it under the sink, she will whine and cry at the cabinet, trying to get in. Sometimes I'll see her dragging a sheet of xerox paper around! She doesn't beg for human food when we're eating. It's almost like she enjoys being sneaky and "naughty." What's up with her??

ALL dogs are obsessed with trash ! Mine will do just about anything to get into the trash .
These little dogs are high energy, curious, opportunists.
''gotta keep em'' well exercised (and perhaps exorcised ) lol and busy.
A good walk everyday is the best thing for you and your dogs.
There are sneaky toys at the pet store that you can hide peanut butter and or treats in side of.
One is called Kong and another by the same company I believe will hold dog bone treats and keep them busy for a long time trying to 'tease' the treat out of the holes.
I have even made toys out of large soda bottles with a milk bone in side and a piece of rag sticking out on a very tightly screwed on cap.
Terrors um I mean Terriers and Pin Pins are just full of naughtiness and they do love it ! So do I.( smile)
Oh PS keep them crated for there safety and your homes safety when you are gone .

maybe she doesn't like her brand or kind of dog food maybe you should try changing her dogs foods and see if she stops eventually. to change her food just gradually mix the new food with the old for a few weeks untill your completely changed to the new food. alos try hiding the trash or get a spray bottle out and spray her when she wines at it and do not let her drag the xerox paper around that only encourages her.

I think you're right because there's no logical explanation for it. Maybe there's something you frequently use and throw away that has a scent that she is fixated on.
