If you want to get around in NYC, you take public transportation, not a car. If you want to judge a city strictly by available parking, which is what you seem to want to do, no, NYC isn't going to win. But that's not exactly the point, is it? There is no city in the world like New York--but honestly, New Yorkers don't much care whether you like it or not. Stay in Chicago, then.

When's the last time you went to New York? Cause the last time I checked, New York was a clean city with friendly people. And you obviously have no knowledge of how to get around if you think driving a car is the only possibility. There exist such things as buses, subways, and trains, in case those words don't appear in your vocabulary.
Just because you don't like a city doesn't mean that it's a bad city, because I sure as hell don't see as many people in Chicago or Vegas than in New York.

The "Big Apple" is great. It is full of entertainment. At Christmas, in Times Square theirs a huge true and I go and see it every year! I agree you can't drive anywhere. Their is the Empire State Building and The Statue of Liberty. If you take a cruise out of New York, it is beautiful. You pass the Statue of Liberty. For your info 44 million tourists have visited in 2006. A great place to visit is the Bronx Zoo. Last year their were Pandas. So in case you haven't notice their is tons of things to do in NYC and you have some nerve to say that about that city!

Because 24/7 you have everything you will ever need right at your finger tips. Not only everything but the best of everything ,You're also completely FOS when you say that you can get to and from anywhere in Las Vegas & Chicago in 20 minutes. Run that nonsense past somebody that hasn't lived in all three of the places you mentioned

I went on holiday to New York recently and thought the city was clean. So it has pollution & crap but there wasn't any rubbish on the ground!
It felt really safe too with the police around!
The buildings are old but many of them are being done up and i was impressed with the city.
I Love New York!
