I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I know how bad the pain can be at times. I know what you mean about not wanting the fuzzy head. I had to take a Diclofenac Tab the other day. I made the mistake of driving a few blocks and I almost fell to sleep driving. You can try a relaxing soak in the tub. I do that sometimes. Sometimes I think if I got down into the tub I wouldn't be able to get out again, but the soak does help. My Dr. has me on Methotrexate once weekly to try to stop the decease from progressing. Some cities have support groups for sufferers. If you ever need to talk to others who are going through the same try asking your Dr. about a support group.

I am a 76 year old male. I got bursitys at age 18. It was so bad I could not use my left arm . At age 21 I heard about bee pollen. I took massive doses for about a month, then less for another month and the third month I started taking 1000 mgs a day. I have continued that to this day. I have perfect use of my left arm, and although now have arthritic conditions in every joint, still maintain the use of all my joints and do not have excessive pain. But not having the pain might come from the fact I have spinal stenosys for the last 24 years, so don't feel pain until it is very extreme

Boswilia , not a miracle but it helps in conjunction with your normal meds. It has helped me cut NSAID use by at least a third.
