I am a schizophrenic paranoid. That is a person who hears "voices" (in his mind like mental telepathy) and sees things other people can not see. It is a real medical phenomena afflicting some one percent of the human population. Some schizophrenics believe this is demonic possession. I have no doubt the disorder existed in biblical times. If so this may be where the idea that one was possessed by demons arose.

Doctors and other scientists do not know what causes hallucinations. If you want to find out more about the disorder "schizophrenia" and "hallucinations" just type these two words into Yahoo! web search and a number of links comes up. Wikipedia has a good summary for both.

I personally am not "Biblically sure" about anything but I do not rule out the possibility that there may be living entities which cause these hallucinations (demons?). I do know the "voices" and poltergeist type hallucinations were not my own mind or by my own will. They were very unwelcome. They came on suddenly and quit just as suddenly. I no longer seem to have hallucinations so I can say I'm no longer "possessed."

Good luck, good health, peace and love!

Too many bible verses to look them up for you. Go to bibleresources.bible.com and find them yourself.
You are talking of a spiritual matter which requires prayer and fasting can help if done properly. You know it because you feel estranged from Jesus. You feel it in your Spirit. Cast that demon off in Jesus name and get back to work studying His word.
