During church services this morning our pastor gave a sermon about abortion. He said that because the babies are not properly baptised they cannot enter The Kingdom of Heaven. That of course is a given. However what he went on to say afterwords left a lot of the congregation scratching their heads. He spoke of the unclean spirits of the unsaved babies haunting the wombs of their promiscuous mothers as punishment from God. I don't like to question my pastor, but this doesn't seem biblically sound to me. It'd seem obvious that the souls of the aborted babies would go strait to hell rather than hang around and torment the harlots as "ghosts" in their wombs? Perhaps I misunderstood him. If not, I'm curious if these spirits haunt them until they repent, or haunt them regardless until the end of their earthly lives?

Sorry, but your pastor is full of crap. It's all a load of theological nonsense designed to control women's choices and especially sexual behavior. Sorry, but I get very heated when I hear crap like this, because none of it is supported by evidence but every bit of it is driven by misogyny.

Tell me how a 100-cell embryo in a petri dish has a soul, and most importantly, a legal right to develop in a female womb. I can understand the moral weight of a woman who undergoes an abortion, and some may experience emotional aftereffects if they are not certain of the procedure. I am not trying to sugarcoat abortion.

But that is no reason to claim that Casper Jr. haunts a woman's entrails because she had unsafe sex or was not ready to have a child.

Your pastor is against abortion and women who have sex outside of marriage. That is all. The theology fits his prejudices. Check out the pastor's wife. Does she look happy? I bet she does not.

Nothing your pastor said is Biblical. Because a baby may not be baptised does not mean it is going to hell [remember the thief on the cross who was not baptised]. It is all conjecture. But that doesn't say that it is all nonsense. No one knows what happens to the spirit of an aborted fetus; God is judge

Aghhh!!! I am angry with your pastor!
Although it is wrong, I'm pretty sure that there wouldn't be any haunting from God.
The babies who are aborted do go to heaven (What a relief!). All children who aren't old enough to comprehend the truth will go to heaven, and these babies brains aren't even fully developed.
Maybe you should find a different church if your pastor is so biblically wrong...
Blessings to you!

Well God is very nasty and unforgiving. I mean to not let the soul of an aborted foetus into heaven.

What about the father of the foetus? It's always the mother that is a harlot isn't it? Seems very sexist to me. These are only some of many, many, many reasons I am an Atheist.

Abortion is not allowed everything has a right to its own choice even a leaf on a tree.

Spirits do a search on "Jinn" 2nd creation of Allah SWT before Adam

Hauntings are in your head causer you look to the left
illussions that you can see and its caused from transgression in the familiy tree or in your own life.

Jinn live 1000 years

your minister sounds like he needs a vacation at the funny farm.. if this kind of talk continues, a letter to the higher-ups might be in order. in my opinion, he's off his rocker. (and they wonder why people don't go to church!) the only thing that seems remotely sane is that the memory of their aborted baby might torment some mothers for the rest of their lives.

Aborted babies go straight to heaven. Their spirits enjoy eternal bliss.

your pastor is an a**hole. what he says is a lie meant to hurt the women who make such a difficult choice. for someone who is supposed to preach love and tolerance, he is doing a crappy job. i'd question his sanity if i were you.
