Most likely it's the food, and the problem is in the digestive tract. I also have 5 dogs, and although it's not the food, sometimes stress at a Meet and Greet can cause this. I do greyhound rescue, and first thing we try with the greyhounds is giving it a heaping tablespoon of yougart (plain or vanila). You can give it as a treat, or mix it in its food. Yougart has live cultures in it that help with the digestive process, and getting rid of gas. It works. And if it doesn't, try switching to a better food, or if you're feeding a good food, switch to something different.

Some dogs just naturally have bad gas, just like us humans. Try changing to a better quality food if you're using anything like purina or iams. I would try switching to Canidae and see if that helps. Sadly though bad gas sometimes just happens. My friend has two goldens that are on the RAW diet and they can clear the entire house when they get going.

Just like with people what goes in must come out. Seriously look at the treats and the diet you feed them. I had two greyhounds and found that the "green" dog biscuits I gave them (it was a variety package) always gave them horrible gas....my kids called it silent killers! Once we narrowed it down to the green....well, I changed the treats and we have had no problems. FYI I feed my hounds ol' Roy high performance dry from Wal-Mart.

No two dogs are alike,
many of them are allergic to so called "dog food".
If you think it's "so gross", how do you think your dog may be feeling??????

It could very well be the dog food. What are you feeding him?
