yep you sure can, just like if you have a baby dec 31, 07 you would get to add a dependant for that year!!

As long as you are married as of Decembe 31, you can and in fact must file as married for that year, either joint or separate. A joint return is usually the best way for married people to file.

Yes you can. You must STAY married until the end of the year, and hopefully, for a long time after that.
Your tax status is determined by what you are as of the end of the year.
only exception, if your spouse dies during the year, you are considered married for that year's taxes.

If you are married as of Dec 31 of the year in question, you can file as married, regardless of how long you have been married in that year.
