Galatians 1:8 states: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Some examples of "false gospels" include:
1). that water baptism is required for salvation.
2). that one can "accept" Jesus to be one's saviour.
3). that one can "earn" salvation by good works.
4). that the Sabbath is on Saturday (7th-day Sabbath).
5). that Christians can divorce their spouse if their spouse is an unbeliever.
6). that prayer to "saints" encourages God to answer our prayer.
7). that women can teach or preach when men are present in the assembly.
8). that speaking in "tongues" is a proof of salvation.

Julian-To come to "truth" ine must compare Scripture with Scriture (1 Cor. 2:13; Isaiah 28:9, 10). In Mark 10:5-12 we read, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
11And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
12And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery."

Equinox-I do not know where you get your information from. Let us take the Sabbath day. In Exodus 31: 13 we read, "Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you." Notice what God says here! The Sabbath was a SIGN. You may say, "a sign of what?" That God does all the work to save us! Remember the man that picked up a few sticks on the Sabbath (Numbers 15:32-35)? What happened? God commanded that man to be stoned to death! You see, if we attempt to do any work to earn salvation, we are like this man that picked a few sticks on the Sabbath. The Lord is the only One who can save us and He does ALL the work. Did you know that "faith" is a work? Check out 1 Thess 1:3 and 2 Thess 1:11. So how do we understand Ephesians 2:8,9?

We read in Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
In Galatains 2:20 we read, "I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
And in Philippians 3:9 the Bible states, "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:"
So you can see that it is Christ's faith, not our faith, because faith is a work. When God opens our eyes to this truth, then Romans 10:17 becomes so clear: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

"Faith" is a synonym for Jesus Christ. He is the only One who is Faithful and True (Revelatian 19:11). We then see, So then CHRIST cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Bible is the key! If Christ has elected us to salvation, we will be saved at some time in our life. But the "event" will only occur under the hearing of God's word-the Bible. God also determines when He will save a person. God saved John the Baptist in his mother's womb. The Lord saved the thief on the cross shortly before the thief died. The Lord is Sovereign. He is God.

And passerby-if you take a look at Colossians 2:16, 17 we find, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
You see a "shadow" has no substance. The Sabbath was a sign to us that God (Jesus) does all the work to save us. If we attempt to do anything to earn salvation, we are like the man who picked up some sticks on the Sabbath and came under the wrath of God.

Jesus was crucified on the day before the 7th-day Sabbath (this is why the women came early Sunday morning to the tomb with spices because they had no time to prepare the body because of the 7th-day Sabbath; Luke 24). Jesus was in the tomb from Friday afternoon until early Sunday morning. Beause Christ arose from the dead on Sunday, Christians hold Sunday as the Sabbath Day today. In Isaiah 58:13-14 we read, "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."
Do you see the difference between the 7-th day Sabbath and the Sunday Sabbath?

The people were commanded to fast and afflict themselves on the 7-th day Sabbath. Not so on the Sunday Sabbath! Christians are to praise and thank God. They are to proclaim the
glorious Gospel to the world. Recall when God created the world? On the first day (Sunday), God created LIGHT. This was a picture showing us that on Sunday, we are to send the Gospel light into the world.

In Matthew 28:1 we read, "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre."
If we go back to the Greek, the verse shuld read In the end of the sabbaths, as it began to dawn on the first of the sabbaths........ In Matthew 28:1 the translators made an error with the word "Sabbath." It is a plural word in both instances. The translators made an error in making "Sabbath" singular. Therefore we have one era of sabbaths ending (the 7-th day sabbaths) and a new era or sabbaths beginning-the Sunday Sabbaths. The translators did and exceelent job in the King James Bible but sometimes they did not do their homework correctly.

batgirl2-the Bible says: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." In 2 Samuel 22:31 we read, "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him." These are not my words-these are God's words! In Proverbs 30:5 we read, "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." This was written before Christ came in the flesh to earth but it is still the word of God. In Jeremiah 36:1-4 God tells us how He gave us His word: "1And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

jeffreyspringer57-I suggest that you read John 5:39..."Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." In Luke 24 after Jesus had died and rose again He met 2 disciples on the road to Emmaus. Here is what the Bible says: "Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself."

LC-you are following a grace/works gospel (false gospel). Faith (belief) is a work! Ephesians 2:8, 9 and Titus 3:5 tell us that our works CANNOT save us. The Bible has to be our authority-not our church or pastor. In 1 Thess.1:3 we read, "Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;" In 2 Thessalonians 1:11 we read, "Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:" So you see that FAITH is a work. If you'll go to Galatians 2:16, 20 you will find the truth. I hope this will help you.

LC-I also wanted to show you a Scripture that many people omit when they speak about "receiving" Christ. It is found in John 1:12, 13. Many people love the first part of the verse but refuse to heed verse 13. The Bible says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." Notice that salvation comes not by your will, nor by the will of your flesh, nor according to your geneology. It is according to God's will. You had no choice in your physical birth. And you have no choice in your spiritual birth.

Gnostic-I am sorry to tell you this but God does not love everone. That is a false gospel. God is going to condemn many people to hell. We read in Matthew 7:13, 14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
The Bible tells us that God hates the workers of iniquity. In Psalms 5:5 we read, "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity." In Psalms 11:5 we read, "The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth." If you think this is only found in the Old Testament let us look at Romans 9:10-13..."And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

I agree with you that many are following “another gospel”, and therefore, according to Galatians 1:6-9, they are “accursed”.
I notice, however, that the only verse you referenced was Galatians 1:8. You did not cite any verses as proof text for the eight things you call “false gospels”.
I believe if you will “search the scriptures”, you will find that you are absolutely correct on most of your points, but that on some, there is a Biblical basis that you may not have considered. We should search the scriptures to see what is true! (Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Please consider these texts that discuss the points you have mentioned. I have numbered these to correspond with your numbers above.
1.) Mark 16:16, Hebrews 5:9, read Luke 24:47 - along with Acts 2:verses 5 and 38, Romans 6:3-13, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12, Acts 22:16, and 1 Peter 3:21.
2.) John 12:48
3.) Ephesians 2:8-10, Luke 17:10
4.) Exodus 20:10
5.) Matthew 19:5-9
6.) 1 Timothy 2:5
7.) 1 Timothy 2:12
8.) 1 Corinthians 13:1, 8
Please read these texts with the intent to believe whatever the Bible teaches!

I'm Baptist from the hair on my head to the tips
of my toes, and will die a Baptist. This is where
I worship the Lord, but being a Baptist has nothing to do with God's salvation.
The bible says that faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.That if I confess the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart
that God raised him(his Son Jesus) from the dead that I shall be saved.I'm saved!
How long will this last?Eternal. The gift of God is eternal life.
The devil can never have a Christians soul.
In order for that to happen,he would have to come under the blood, which is impossible for
the devil to do.

Perhaps you should ask yourself the same thing. Are YOU following "another gospel"? Your "Gospel" is just your own (or another fallible person's) interpretation of the Bible...
There are hundreds of different interpretations of the Bible, and all of them are the interpretations of human beings, with no authority given to speak on God's behalf.
Let me ask you this, are you following the living prophet of the living God?
Amos 3:7 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/amos/3/7#7
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
If you are not following the words of a living prophet, from whom have you learned your interpretation of God's Word?
If you have not learned from a prophet, then what right do you have to assume that you have understood correctly, and that other people have not?

There is only one Gospel.
That is the "Good News" that God loves us.
God is Love.
Do not judge anyone, ever.
Love God and love other people as you love yourself even if they are your enemy.
There were as many as 50 testimonials of this Gospel and secular men choose 4 to put in a book called the Bible. If you believe an interpretation of this testimonial that leads you to judge or even not love anyone then you do not know Christ.
God bless you.

To receive a gift it must be accepted. So I believe that you are most certainly in error.
Acts 8:20
But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
Romans 5:15
But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
Romans 5:16
And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
Romans 5:18
Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
