There are a variety of reasons that some teenagers want to live on their own. Some might have major (or minor) disagreement issues with their parents, while others merely seek to prove themselves capable of independence. Others may do it, because they feel pressured by a friend's success of living on their own - that ties into proving themselves, I suppose. It's different for everyone, but not all 18 year olds want to (or even should) move out immediately. It depends on the situation.

Hope that helps :)

It's the best thing to do unless you happen to be going to college in the same place you went to High School. If not, the best thing to do is MOVE AWAY, and also to leave your hometown. You can always come back to the same town if you want, but if you don't leave, you may NEVER leave. And that is sad IMO. Today's young people are just rediculously tied to their parents, to the point that they are even going on job interviews with them!!! It's a rough world out there, you might as well practice working in it now.

you get tired of living under your parents rules and now that you are 18 they still think because it is there house they can still make you live under these rules. so thats why it is easier to move out and be free!!! parents need to understand that if they need to let go of thier kids. let them go out and experience things in life. even if they have to figure them out at 1am. yes it is your house but i thought it was also their house too. and you are making them seem like they cant do what they want in thier house so that makes them want to move out so you cant tell them what they can and cant do in thier house.goodl uck.

Because they feel that they can make it on thier own and they believe that thier parents are trying to control them by setting rules while living at home.

because they disagree with and agrue with there parent or parents. they think that it'll be more fun and easyier if they leave home as soon as they're old enough.

i think-because they think they can do whatever they want, once away from-parents, but they learn quickly, there's rules everywhere and forever.i also think its to prove themselves and-also needed to grow up and become an adult?

Mainly, because they believe, they can do what they want to do, without someone telling them what to do, or so they think.
