Vacationstogo.com is a great site for cheap cruises in advance or last minute . Also, if you know what line you would like to sail on, check their website every few weeks.

Well, when considering a cruise the world is basically at your feet. You can select cruises from different lengths, with just a cruise or a cruise tour(where you tour on land as well). I have been on over 20 cruises and LOVED each one. You can either Research on line or go to any AAA office or travel agent and get all your questions answered and also get free brochures for you to look threw and compare to find a cruise that fits all your needs.I highly suggest this so you don't make a mistake a pick the wrong one. Everyone has their favorite place which is fine as people like different things. Just line the ship or cruise line. Some go for the ship or ports of call or activities offered or just for the cruise experience. You will need to decide when you want to go as this will effect the price(cheaper at start or end of season) length, cabin selection. Plus, cruises lines will offer specials. You can visit their sites and sign up for free emails. I would pick a location then get afew brochures and see what is offered and go from there. I can say and believe most would agree a Cruise is the best vacation out there. ENJOY.

Be careful of booking "cheap" cruises on line. You might end up with extra charges, or maybe mistakes made on the booking and not be able to get in contact with an agent to help you.

Actually there are not that many "cheap" cruises. A couple years ago most of the cruiselines adopted the policy that if agencies are caught discounting cruises, below what the cruiseline is advertising, then they will pull their priviledges.

Best advise, contact a local cruise agent, talk to them, tell them what you are looking for and let them help you search. It does not cost you any more to use an agent, then you will have someone to help with any problems, and go to bat for you if the cruiseline makes a mistake.

Good luck!!

I booked a 10-day Panama Canal cruise with Princess Cruises just last week. The cruise leaves in February 2009. I paid about $4,300 for a balcony cabin (solo).

Frequently check the cruiseline's website or with your Travel Agent to see if the price goes down. Call and ask about having the lower rate applied to your booking.

Websites like cruisecritic.com and cruisemates.com are reat resources for cruise information.

I've been looking online for good cruise deals lately and found a good one with Hobbit Travel. I'm thinking about going with the "5 Night Caribbean Cruise from $499" deal, that sails in '08, but I'm still looking for anything I can find that is better.

i would keep looking at the online cruise websites, checking prices. make sure that you are comparing the same cruise (dates, ports of call) on each site and when you feel good about the prices, GO for it!! Remember there are most likely additional PORT charges and Govt fees. As well as budgeting for the gratuities for onboard servers/room stewards. Good luck on your search. I like vacationstogo.com or joystar.com. :)

I always book through Carnival. I have a vacation planner in Miami who works for them. We call him, and he always gets us the best deals. Even better than the online cruise sites. He got us a 7 day Western Caribbean for under $1400 this year. That is for four people. Booked almost a year early for that one.
