I am wondering the same thing. Something has to give sometime. I know Dale Sr. had a long history of bad luck when it came to Daytona but dang. Maybe the engine mechanics are getting paid off by the "monster biotch" to do something to his motors, I dunno. Only she knows.

I would say it is a result of the RCR and DEI engine merger program they have. They just haven't developed it enough. To many engine problems since they announced the merger.

No, I highly doubt that is the case because that would just be scewing her DEI company because it would be screwing her/DEI out of the chance for a NEXTEL Championship!
Now do I think they have shifted direction as to where they are concentrating there attention as far as drivers & Cars yes.
I would suspect they will now want to start making sure that Martin Truex is the Star that shines @ DEI...

I'm starting to think that with Jr. leaving for Hendrick Motorsports next year that there is something to that theory or belief. I mean, this is Jr's second DNF due to engine failure in 4-out-of-the-last five races.

DEI doesn't care what happens to him, they are putting all their effort into Truex so JR is probably getting second rate engines and parts. We will know for sure next year if his luck turns around.

I'm not one to go with the conspiracies, but I'm starting to think that there's something fishy going on here. 5 DNFs this year, and 4 of the because of engine failure? All of this the year he announces that he's leaving. Some coincidence, huh?
