if yes,what are the items that are claimed to be cheap? is it clothes,skirts,pants,electronic,digital items or...?

sherry457 is right... go to Luohu Commercial city for shopping... near the Lo Wu/Luo Hu Border... just be careful since many products there are either fakes, counterfeits, or products with low quality... just keep bargaining until you get a 50% or more discount... it's funny because there are some shops there with a "NO BARGAINING" sign, yet people still keep bargaining, even the tourists!

As for electronic items, yes, they are cheap, but remember, you get what you pay for. But some of the products there are good, like the "iPod" (notice the quotation marks) we bought for RMB 200 (about US$26!)... other than that, items like clothes, skirts, pants, shoes, and many more are cheap...

right on the border of hong kong and shenzhen is the Luohu commercial centre which is around six stories high and has everything u could possibly need. prices are very cheap but just be aware of the quality of the items u are purchasing.......

It is true if you know where it is. Don't shop at the Lo Wu train station. That place is known to cheat on tourist. They overprice and expect you to bargain. Even with bargaining, it is still too expensive! Anywhere else is fine , just be sure to bargain.

You can have all these stuffs at bargain prices in Dong men, Laojie. Its a huge shopping area.
