At two in the afternoon while Jesus was on the cross he said in a croaking voice---" I can see my house from here"-- Tell me jesus didn't have a sense of humor.

Why do you consider laughter and joy a human foible? I suppose if you can only laugh at shtick...
Jesus must have enjoyed sending Peter off to go fishing when poor Peter was so worried about paying taxes. The first fish he caught had enough money in its mouth to pay the tax.
Is that what you call shtick?

I know what would make him laugh! Tell him your plans for next year.
I think he might have smiled, when impulsive Peter cut off the guards ear. Or when he was writing on the ground and told them, "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone"..they scattered like ants.
And have you got a look at some of the animals and birds he made...the dodo bird?? That had to be for fun, right?

In Isaiah 44:6-28 God shows his sense of humour as he laughs at those who carve an idol out of a tree and bow down and say "Deliver me, tou are my God" and then burn the rest in the fire and warm themselves with it and cook their meat.
At the end of the chapter he proves his omniscience by declaring the name of Cyrus the Persian king who would let the Jews go free, hundreds of years before they are even taken in captivity by a completely different empire.
In another place he laughs at the Babylonian idols that had to be carried to safety by their worshipers, instead of saving their worshipers.
He would probably laugh at modern day evolutionists that look at rocks and minerals and say "You are my father."

In Non-canonical documents there is the story of Jesus (his spirit) standing above the cross and laughing at the fools who are crucifying his body. This has led to some speculation that it was actually the man who carried his cross who was crucified instead of Jesus. Whatever, Laughing Jesus is a common theme. He would laugh in the faces of all those fake Christians who would no doubt be pawing him, and then he'd go hang out with prostitutes just like the good old days :-)

He would laugh sadly at the chumps who send money to the televangelists.
Those guys all live in mansions and have private jets take them to the sight of the next fleecing of the lambs.

I think Jesus would hang out at the 7-11 with atheists and joke around, like a normal guy. He would go to parties. He would NOT sit around and be serious all the time.
He'd like a good, clean joke.
I thinkhe's laugh with little kids and be goofy with them.
