My boyfriend and his best friend just moved into a house together. I wanted to get them a house warming gift. But I didn't want to get them girly stuff, since I am a girl and usually tend to shop in a woman's mindset. I want to get them something that is manly yet decorative and homey for their bachelor pad. Have any ideas?

drive around the area and collect them menus from all the local restaurants that deliver... and pick up a gift certificate at one of them while you are there...
sorry but more often than not guys (young guys especially) use only the fridge in a kitchen LOL

They have some nice decorative wrought iron hangings. They range in price from 20 bucks and up. They are decorative yet not girly. They make a bare wall look good and go with just about any kind of furniture.

Pay up a month of maid service for them. It will cost about that and the gift is priceless. It will give them more free time, etc. etc. OR WHen you have a free day, do some running around and buy up a bunch of gift cards/certificates to local places in their new neighborhood - pizza places, gas cards, etc. etc. Throw it in a basket with a bottle of wine and two glasses... The gift of convienance is always the best!

I'm like you and am always buying my boyfriend decorative items for his house, that he neither wants nor needs. I've bought lamps, rugs, pictures but he only uses them because I like them. What he liked the most was a "crab pot" I bought him (he lives on the water), a coffeepot, anything practical. It's hard for me to buy those kinds of things though but you want him, not you, to like it. A big plant always adds coziness to a room; just remember that you may have to be the one to water it!

Forget the decorations stuff; go for practical
Get thme a blender or iron or something they can get some use out of everytime they use it, they will think of you.
Maybe the Bullet? something they can use a lot to make milk shakes, smoothies etc. Think foor when it comes to guys.

I think they would enjoy a stripper.. jk although I'm sure they would.. Get them a gift card for home depot.. or target or better yet go to neiman marcus and get something nice from there. The employees will help you.
